‘IMPORTED’’ PRO-ILLEGAL DRUGS PROIPAGANDA!

A story in tribune.net.ph said two firms in Washington D.C. in the US have belittled the anti-illegal drug war of President Duterte. The Institute for Policy Studies said the drug problem “will only get worse if they continue to reinforce the underlying factors that drive it,  The Brookings Institute said: “By eliminating low-level, mostly non-violent dealers, Duterte is paradoxically and counterproductively setting up a situation where more organized and powerful drug traffickers and distribution will emerge.”

My take:  Nothing less than ‘IMPORTED’, PRO-ILLEGAL DRUGS statements.

First: The two companies CONVENIENTLY AND MALICIOUSLY did not cite the almost 700,000 pushers and users who have surrendered since Duterte stared his anti-illegal drug war. NOT A WORD on how many thousands of crimes more would have been committed if the 700,000 did not give up.  Not even a safe guess on how many more thousands of addicts would have died from abuse of illegal drugs, or would have landed in jail for committing criminal acts just to have money to buy dope.

Second: The PNP declared a huge drop (almost half if I remember right) in the number of crimes since the anti-illegal drug war started. Not even Duterte’s critics have belied this. But again, the two American firms were BLIND. They only ZEROED IN on the anti-drug war itself, in a VULGAR AND UNDENIIABLE attempt to make it look bad in the public eye. Crime rate down, almost 700,000 pushers and users giving up in just more than two months and still the situation will get worse and the effort counter-productive?

Tell it to the Marines, both Philippine and US.

Third: The American firms ARE NOT BASED in our country. They have NO PERSONAL OR FIRST-HAND KNOWLEDGE of the illegal drug crisis we are facing. Clearly, they relied ONLY ON what they’ve probably heard or read in national or social media. Therefore, it’s either STUPIDITY or PAID BIAS to the max which is behind their SWEEPING AND FUTURISTIC evaluations.
