Here are Risa
Hontiveros’ LATEST HALLUCINATIONS,
this time on the anti-drug war of the Duterte Administration.
A story in
interaksyon.com said in a speech at the Alliance of Philippine Medical
Colleges-Student Network Visayas Convention at the Cebu Doctors' University, .Hontiveros
claimed: "This war on drugs should not be a war against people. Or worse,
a war against the poor. With a death toll so far of at least 2,000, this
so-called war cannot continue as it is."
WHO THE HELL EVER SAID the
war is against the people? Or against the poor? I don’t recall President Digong
or PNP Director-General Bato dela Rosa ever having said that. Correct me,
anyone, if I’m wrong. The anti-drug war
is only being carried out against pushers and traffickers, or drug lords and
their protectors.
The PNP is NOT GOING AGAINST
the entire Filipino people, or just anybody they suddenly feel like arresting
or accosting. There have been no ROUND-THE-CLOCK
POLICE RAIDS EITHER on residential areas of the poor. So Hontivereos’ aides had
better ask her if SHE KNOWS what she\s saying. And IF SHE’S WITH US, in this
planet.
Hontiiveros also said: “Solutions
that railroad human rights are not solutions at all. Solutions should
unite us, not divide us.” First: While there have been complaints of ALLEGED
violations of human rights, NONE so far HAS BEEN PROVEN BEYOND REASONABLE
DOUBT. So it’s nothing less than GRAVE ABUSE of public office (being a senator)
for Hontiveros to categorically describe the anti-drug was a solution that
railroads human rights.
Second: There has BEEN NO
CONTINUOUS RALLIES by both pro and anti-drug war factions. And popularity
surveys show that President Duterte enjoys ONE OF THE HIGHEST ratings ever in
the history of the presidency. So what division among us is she talking about?
Lastly, does Hontiveros have
any academic or professional background in any capacity whatsoever in fighting illegal
drugs? As far as I know, there’s none. Anybody
correct me if I’m wrong. 30
