The Senate probe of the killings in the
government’s anti-illegal drugs war is turning out to be in aid of Duterte
demolition and not of legislation.
First: The issues taken up in the resumption
of the probe yesterday was TOTALLY IRRELEVANT and turned out to be a MISERABLE
ATTEMPT to destroy the reputation of Digong by FOCUSING on the alleged murders he had ordered the supposed Davao Death Squad (DDS)
to carry out. Second: Look at the OUTRIGHT LIES in the
claims of witness and supposed self-confessed DDS member Edgar MatobatoL
Matobato said in 2002, he and his comrades in
the DDS abducted alleged international terrorist Salem Makdum in the island city of Samal and
presented the suspect to then Davao Presidential
Anti-Crime Task Force (PAOCTF) head Ronald dela Rosa. After that, they killed
Makdum. But Sen. Ping Lacson, who was the former PAOCTF commander, countered: “Wala
nang PAOCTF noong 2002. Kasi, ako’y senador na nung 2001 at nawala na yung
PAOCTF. Kanina pa ako Google nang Google kay Sali Makdum ... gigil na gigil na
ako wala akong makita. Baka non-existent yan.” Dela Rosa denied knowing
Matobato and alleged DDS leader Arthur Lascañas.
Matobato said billionaire Davao businessman Richard King was killed inside a fastfood chain branch. But Lacson noted that a quick search on the Internet would show that King was shot in the head at close range in his office.
.
When Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano asked him if he
had indeed testified earlier that they had used masking tape on the bodies of
the people they had killed, Matobato answered yes and that he was sure of it.
But when Cayetano showed him different kinds of tapes and asked him to point
out the masking kind, Matobato picked the packaging tape instead. Even though he
had testified that he and the DDS had already
killed 1,000 people
Matobato claimed that in 2010, members of the
Davao Death Squad kidnapped and killed four bodyguards of former Speaker Prospero
Nograles, who ran for Davao City mayor against Duterte. But Nograles’ son and
incumbent Davao City Congressman Rep. Karlo Alexei categorically countered that
he cannot remember anyone among their employees or bodyguards, especially those
detailed to his dad, who was killed due to politics.
President
Duterte's 68-year old sister, Jocelyn, denied Matobato’s allegation that Digong
had ordered the murder of a dance instructor who was her alleged lover. She
said all her dance instructor friends “are still alive and well."
KAPUWA SINUNGALING na lamang ang maniniwala
kay Matobato. 30
