MRT-3 RIDERS’ LIVES IN DANGER!

Sept. 15, 2016

To the estimated 600,000 MRT-3 passengers daily, STAY AWAKE AND ALERT ALAWAYS, AS IN. Your lives ARE AT RISK OV EVERY TRIP you take. And that’s coming from NO LESS THAN THE PRIVATE OWNERS of the MRT-3 themselves.

A story in tribune.net.ph quoted MRT Corp. Director Rafael Perez de Tagle as saying: “The reports of cracks in the wheels of the MRT are alarming and a SERIOUS THREAT (emphasis mine) to the lives of commuters.” Take note, people, not just a threat but a SERIOUS THREAT.  Earlier reports had revealed that metal cracks were found in all four pairs of bogey wheel frames on Car No. 04 and 48, Car No. 11 and 64 are likewise damaged. De Tagle added: “The possibility of derailment has not been addressed. The maintenance provider is feeding the public misinformation to save face, at the risk of the lives of commuters.”

HUWAG KAYONG MAHIYANG KUMIBO.

AVOID OVERLOADING. Don’t force yourself into the train if it’s full to the max that standing passengers are practically hugging each other or are cheek-to-cheek already. De Tagle said the poor condition of the tracks and overloading of trains have resulted in extreme stress on the rail system.

Former Transportation and Communications Sec. Joseph Emilio Abaya and his predecessor, Mar Roxas, should be INVESTIGATED AT ONCE for this. I’ll write about it later today. 30
