VALTE'S LOUSY DEFENSE OF THE CCT

Deputy Presidential Spokesperon Abigail Valte said the government's conditional cash transfer (CCT) is effective despite a recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey showing that self-rated poverty increased.

An abs-cbn story quoted Valte as saying:

"We have been going around. We make it a point to talk to the beneficiaries in provinces that are not part of (Metro) Manila (KUNDI BA NAMAN TALAGANG ANO ITONG SI VALTE…MAY PROVINCE BA SA METRO MANILA?) or in some other cities and the feedback is almost usually the same, na malaki ang nagiging tulong.”

But NOWHERE in the story did Valte mention:

WHAT PROVINCES OR CITIES did they supposedly visit, HOW MANY were these, WHO made the visits and when, HOW MANY BENEFICIARIES did they talk to and what are the names and addresses.

NOWHERE in the story was it mentioned that Vakte showed PHYSICAL PROOF of her claim, like pictures of beneficiaries or written statements of the helpo the CCT had given them.

And, as much as I hate to say this, look at how NARROW-MINDED, if not STUPID, Valte is:

She said in the “same survey it cites naman that hunger incidence also went down.”  So, for Valte, anyone who experiences less-hunger is no longer living in poverty.

Somebody had better ask Valte to get out of her office first and go to the slums herself before she opens her mouth again on poverty.

Somebody had also better remind Valte of the Tagalog phrase ‘isang kahig, isang tuka.’

And whatever Valte, or anybody else form Malacanang, sas I defense of the CCT, DON’T FORGET the following realities which remain UNCLEAR OR UNANSWERED, boys and girls:

There has been NO PUBLIC BREAKDOWN of WHERE and to WHOM EXACTLY have the BILLIONS of CCT funds been disbursed or spent. All we have are the words of anyone who speaks about it.

No less than the Commission on Audit (COA) discovered HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of unliquidated or unaccounted for monies, Up to now, NOTHING has been heard on the status of this.

DON'T TAKE THE SABAH STANDOFF LIGHTLY

Don’t take the Sabah standoff lightly, ladies and gentlemen.

It has CONFRONTATIONAL, DIPLOMATIC and POLITICAL implications which are both DESPICABLE and HORRENDOUS once they happen, if these have not occurred yet.

An inquirer.net story said Sultan Jamalul Kiram III has declared that his men, who had crossed into Lahad Datu in Sabah, were staying put.

Question: If, fighting erupts between Kiram’s men and Malaysian security forces, and even some of his men die in the process, what will our government do? Kiram’s people are Filipino citizens and it’s the duty of PNoy to protect and defend them anytime, anywhere.

Will we strike back at Malaysia? If we don’t, and Kiram and the rest of his people and supporters from Muslim Mindanao attack on their own, what will the government do?

Will PNoy and his boys just sit back and watch them fight, and die?

If Kiram and his followers turn on Malaysians and Malaysian interests here at home, how will the government respond? Is PNoy and his boys ready for such an eventuality?

I’m not a Muslim but I dare raise these scenarios because I know for a fact that for Muslims, they would rather die than to live in disgrace.

Should the crisis escalate and Malaysia uses diplomatic pressure on us, like severing ties or agreements, to force us to get Kiram’s followers out of Sabah, is our government ready?

Most of all, PNoy and his boys had better explain at once Kiram’s claim that they had been left out, and had not even been consulted, on the framework agreement between the government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), which paves the way for an autonomous region in Muslim Mindanao.

What was the reason behind this?

The MILF is one of the biggest groups in Mindanao but it DOES NOT REPRESENT OR SPEAK for the ENTIRE MUSLIM population in the region. Remember, even Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF)  head Nur Misuari has protested against the framework agreement and HAS NOT RULED OUT any retaliatory measure on his part.

So WHAT makes the MILF SO SPECIAL to  Pnoy and his boys?

What are the legal, moral, and geographical grounds for considering the MILF as the BE-ALL and END-ALL for Muslim Mindanao? Who’s the brains, anyway,  behind the non-consultation of Kiram, Misuari and other parties of interest in the framework agreement?

If Kiram, Misuari and/or any other Muslim group resort to armed action to protest and disregard any accord between the MILF and the government, what happens next?

The Sabah standoff is a lot, lot deeper than we see it.

Believe me, guys, this is one crisis we should not take our eyes off, until it is resolved. 30

KAIPOKRITUHAN SA BALUKTOT NA DAAN!

This is BALUKTOT NA DAAN and HYPOCRISY to the max.

No less than the Commission on Audit (COA) has ordered the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) board of directors to reimburse P9.617 million in unauthorized salaries and allowances which they had collected in 2011.

The COA said payment of the P9.617 million was contrary to Executive Orders (EO) 19 and 24 dated Dec. 30, 2010 and Feb. 10, 2011, respectively.

Remember, guys, the PCSO is part of PNoy’s  ‘tuwid na daan’ administration.

But think about  this: Not just one but TWO EOs had been violated. Malacanang, however, WOULD NOT ORDER AN INVESTIGATION into the issue. It would not EVEN QUESTION ANY0NE among the PCSO directors.

Kapag kakampi nila, WALANG IMBE-IMBESTIGASYON. WALANG TANUNG-TANONG.

Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said the PCSO administration and finance “will be in a better position to answer these questions para makita natin. Bahala sila sumagot ng mga tanong.”

Meaning, let’s listen to the PCSO guys, first, before we say anything.

But if it’s their political critics, Malacanang people themselves exert all needed efforts to announce this in media, with every semblance of truth they can think of.

Anybody correct me if I’m wrong but NEVER, NOT ONCE, did they ask media people to get the side of the accused first before they say anything about the person or the issue.

BAKIT NGA?

I don't like them..

Not me!

Nope!

JOSE RAMON VILLANUEVA
Let me get this straight ... reports say that Legarda is the best friend of JPE's girlfriend, Escudero is the boyfriend of Heart and Poe is not the daughter of Susan - parang komplicado  ah.

MORE THAN WORDS
It’s easy for me to remember since I only have 1 to 3 senatorial bets to vote for.  Zero silang tatlo sa akin

REYNALDO SISON
I’ll vote for Loren Legarda.

MAKA BERDE
Trillanes, Jack Enrile, huwag din po. Maawa po kayo sa Pilipinas.

It's better po if you give the people guidelines or even a checklist by which they could assess each candidate. Then, the people will evaluate for themselves whom they will vote for.

Sa pangangampanya na don’t vote for Legarda-Escudero-and Poe,di naman siguro maganda maliban lamang kung may personal na kadahilanan

Talagang hindi.

DON'T VOTE FOR LEGARDA, ESCUDERO AND POE

With the way they’re treating the opposition party UNA, there’s NO SANE REASON anymore to vote foR Loren Legarda, Francis Escudero and Grace Poe Llamanzares in the coming senatorial elections in May.

They’re nothing less than FULL-BLOWN OPPORTUNISTS.  Anybody correct me if I’m wrong but an opportunist does MORE HARM THAN GOOD in any field. That is, if ever he or she will do something good.

Since they accepted the invitation to be guest candidates of UNA Legarda, Escudero and Poe should have the COURTESY of gracing UNA’s rallies and events even once in a while.

That is BASIC GOOD MANNERS. Surely, they’re smart enough to know this.

And they can’t DENY, and I hope they won’t have the stomach to deny, the reality that they agreed to be guest candidates because they know that UNA can add a lot votes to their tallies come election time.

Especially to Poe.

Otherwise Legarda, Poe and Escudero should have had the DECENCY not to accept the guest candidate invitation from UNA RIGHT FROM THE START.

What makes these three more UNWORTHY of our votes is the ARROGANCE they’re showing toward UNA by not showing up in the opposition’s campaign sorties.

As if UNA’s fate depended solely on them.

I’m not working for UNA, or for any of its candidates. Anybody can verify this anytime with the party or with any of its senatorial bets.

You tell me, guys:

ILAN na ba, kung MERON MAN, ang mga programa o proyekto na naipatupad o naipagawa nina Escudero at Legarda sa nakaraang tatlong taon na sila ay senador?

Ilan na ba ang mga bills o panukalang batas na isinulat nila?

Don’t forget, guys, coming up with bills or proposed laws for a brighter and more peaceful future for the country and the people is one of the PRINCIPAL JOBS of a senator.

As to Poe, ask yourselves what did she accomplish during her term as chairperson of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB)?

You’re WIPING OUT THE CHANCES of your own candidates more than theirs.

KABASTUSAN AT DESPERASYON NI PNOY!

This is nothing less than PNoy’s own DESPERATION to boost the chances of his senatorial bets in the May elections.

At the Liberal Party proclamation rally PNoy repeated, for the NTH TIME, SUPPOSED BUT STILL UNPROVEN anomalies during the administration of his predecessor former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. (GMA).

And that his senatorial bets are the ones who will truly walk with him on his ‘tuwid na daan.’ (straight, moral path of governance). This is not in defense of GMA. But why do I describe this as a DESPERATE move of PNoy?

First: GMA IS NOT A SENATORIAL CANDIDATE of any party.

Therefore, SHE CANNOT take away any vote from PNoy’s senatorial candidates. She is running for reelection as a congresswoman from her home province of Pampanga,

Neither does GMA’s Lakas have its own senatorial bets from among its members.

So why DESTROY GMA again?

Personally, I DON’T SEE ANY LOGIC OR MORAL JUSTIFICATION, especially considering the fact that up to now, NOT ONE among the numerous accusations against her has been proven beyond reasonable doubt in court.

Second: If PNoy and his boys will say that these supposed anomalies had the blessings of GMA, even if it was her people who had allegedly done it themselves, then they should hit the main suspects and not GMA.

Especially if they have no UNDENIABLE, PHYSICAL PROOF of anything.

Third, it’s on record that GMA CANCELLED the NBN-ZTE project after it stirred a controversy. It was never implemented. The government DID NOT LOSE MONEY over it.

The last thing I heard about the fertilizer scam is that tall monies have been accounted for. But I admit I don’t have all the details and anybody can correct me if I’m wrong.

On the coffee scandal at Pagcor the supposed culprits have been specifically identified. But GMA was never cited as one of them. And NO WRONGDOING on GMA’s  part has been proven so far.

So why hit GMA again over it?

Believe me, people, I still would like to think that PNoy has simply forgotten that:  BAKLA lamang ang PUMAPATOL SA BABAE at TSISMOSO lamang ang naninira ng ibang toa nang walang solidong ebidensiya laban dito.

Everything had stated here is based on FACTS. I am also one of those who want the termination of and decision on GMA’s cases at the soonest possible time.

DON'T BE FOOLED BY PNOY'S BASELESS 'ACCOMPLISHMENTS

A story in inquirer.net says PNoy’s  boys will be trumpeting his  accomplishments when their senatorial bets are formally introduced at the Liberal Party proclamation rally tonight in Plaza Miranda in Manila:

The 6.6-percent growth in 2012, the peace framework agreement with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), the Senate vote to oust Chief Justice Renato Corona and the government’s conditional cash transfer program (CCT) which has supposedly benefited more than 2 million poor families.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again:

Corona was prosecuted in the Senate Impeachment Court by CONGRESSMEN and private prosecutors, NOT BY GOVERNMENT LAWYERS. Corona was eventually convicted by the senators, NOT BY ANY GOVERNMENT BODY.

Remember, boys and girls, the Senate and the House of Representatives are COI-EQUAL branches of the national government, and are NOT UNDER MALACANANG.

If anybody will insist on that, it will mean that senators (with the exception of three) and congressmen were ALL UNDER THE CONTROL of PNoy during the Corona trial.

And that the impeachment trial was one big ‘moro-moro’ all along.

The agreement with the MILF is NOTHING MORE than a GUIDE on how to conduct peace negotiations between the Front and the government.

KEEP IN MIND, people, that THERE IS NO FINAL PEACE AGREEMENT yet with the MILF. Anything can still happen.

There have been various articles contradicting the supposed 6.6-percent growth fn 2012. Before you believe PNoy’s boys, please surf the Internet for these.

On the supposed two million poor families benefitting from the CCT (which, in fairness, is a brainchild of former President Gloria Arroyo, not PNoy or any of his boys):

NAMES please, even a few thousands, of the alleged beneficiaries, as well as their addresses or locations and SPECIFIC DETAILS on how had the CCT help improve the quality of their lives.

Anybody, and I mean even you and me, can claim on the spot that we had helped millions of people without showing any proof or providing details.

DESPERATE AMALILIO FACE-SAVING ANTIC BY DE LIMA

Due to some adjustments in our website, boyetantoniojr.com, I will be posting our blog here in blogspot again. Please bear with me and thanks, people.

                                                                      ***

DON’T BE MISLED into thinking that Justice Secretary Leila De Lima had accomplished something significant with the decision of Malaysian authorities to freeze assets of suspected P12-billion swindling boss Manuel Amalilio.

I’m not a lawyer but I will dare say that since Amalilio was arrested, and eventually convicted, by a Malaysian court, the freeze on his assets was AUTOMATIC.

And NOT BECAUSE De Lima had requested for it. She is just SAVING FACE, from her department’s FAILURE to bring Amalilio home.

Through media reports, Malaysian authorities already knew of Amalilio’s alleged P12-bilion scam after he was arrested for another offense.(using a fake passport if I remember correctly).

Therefore, it’s COMMON SENSE for Malaysian officials to freeze Amalilio’s assets and those of several others linked to him, since they might be suspected or accused of TRYING TO KEEP THE ASSETS for themselves.

An image no country on Earth would want to have in the eyes of anybody.

IYON ANG TUTOO, mga kababayan. Gusto lang MAGBANGONG-PURI ni De Lima na MAGMUMUKHA PA RIN SIYANG MAGALING O BIDA.

What De Lima SHOULD EXPLAIN instead is:

Why wasn’t the Philippine Embassy in Malaysia allowed to bring home Amalilio as soon as possible right after his arrest, as revealed by our ambassador to Malaysia?

Considering the gravity of Amalilio’s supposed criminal offense, EVERYTHING should have been done PRONTO to bring him back right after his arrest, as in within hours if it had been possible.

So why did the embassy have to wait for National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents, who are under De Lima, to pick up Amalilio?

Apart from De Lima, who designated NBI agents as escorts for Amalilio’s deportation? Was there ever an authorization from higher-ups? If yes, on what ground, or under what administrative rule? If none, why not?

With Malaysia’s categorical declaration that it’s not planning to extradite Amalilio, what will the government do now? Is there any remaining hope at all to get the suspected scam brains back?

And most of all, does the government have any plan to even partially assist the scam victims to recover and start all over again in case of a prolonged effort to extradite Amalilio?

Somebody had better tell De Lima to STOP her face-saving press statements once and for all. For the sake of whatever credibility she has left.

Somebody had better wake her up to the reality that she CAN NEVER FOOL THE PEOPLE. 30

MAJOR VICTORY FOR TRUTH AND TRANSPARENCY!

We have just won a major victory for TRUTH AND TRANSPARENCY, guys.

The Supreme Court has INDEFINITELY EXTENDED the temporary restraining order (TRO) on the implementation of the Anti-Cybercrime Law.

That means we have nothing to fear as we continue informing and enlightening each other on the DECEPTION, HYPOCRISY, QUESTIONABLE  ACTIONS and DIRTY TRICKS PNoy’s Government has been, or is, up to.

And you know what’s both SURPRISING AND SUSPICIOUS?

Despite the vigorous defense by Malacanang, no less than chief government  lawyer Solicitor-General Francis Jardeleza has admitted that Section 19 of the law which allows the Department of Justice to block and restrict activities in a website even without a court order is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

For sure, the Anti-Cybercrime Law went through countless debates and studies before it was finalized for PNoy’s signature.

So it’s IMPOSSIBLE, and INCONCEIVABLE, that the legal minds of Malacanang, and for that matter the House and the Senate, did not realize this right from the start.

But still, it was signed into law by PNoy. The million-dollar question, therefore, is WHY?

Mr. Jardeleza also owes us taxpayers an explanation.

Did he point out the UNCONSTITUTIONALITY of Section 19 to PNoy? If yes, what was PNoy’s reply? If no, why not?

Did he do anything at all, directly or indirectly, to have Section 19 amended before the Anti-Cybercrime Act became a law? Did he ask for a chance to have it amended? If yes, to whom and what happened? If no and he just kept his mouth shut, why?

Whatever Jardeleza says, if ever he should talk, one thing is crystal-clear:

PNoy’s Government  tried to control our freedom of speech and expression with a constitutionally half-baked law.

If they have the stomach for a trick as dirty as this, only God knows what will they do next to scare us into keeping our mouths shut whatever they do, to anything and anybody.

If that happens, don’t be surprised if DICTATORSHIP follows. 30

DON'T BE FOOLED BY SENATE BETS' VISIONS!

As expected, we are now being bombarded by senatorial candidates, especially PNoy’s bets, with visions and plans of a bright and prosperous future for the country.

DON’T BE FOOLED by their words and cinematic smiles and body language.

ALL CANDIDATES promise, in various ways and statements, everything we ordinary citizens can think of or are concerned about,. Cheap food prices, poverty, education, even double dead meat as a senatorial bet’s commercial goes.

Name it, and ALL the candidates will vow to fix it given the chance.

If the candidate has NO ACCOMPLISHMENT TO SHOW -- whether as an incumbent senator, politician government official or private citizen – he or she DOES NOT DESERVE TO WIN.

The candidate has NO MORAL RIGHT to stay in the Senate in the case of re-electionists, or to be a member of the chamber for aspiring first-timers.

SIMPLE REACTIONS to, or comments on, the country’s major concerns through press releases will not reduce prices of oil products and basic commodities like food. Neither will these generate jobs, bring down tuition and help build more classrooms and schools, catch wanted criminals or stop drug abuse. What we need is ACTION.

Keep this in mind UNTIL you vote, PEOPLE:

If the candidate DID NOTHING BUT TALK and accuse or criticize after being elected in the 2010 polls or being appointed to a position, THERE’S NO GUARANTEE that he or she will work for the people in case he or she wins in May.

If we install GOOD-FOR-NOTHING candidates in the Senate, then we will be THE BIGGEST LOSERS. Not just on ELECTION DAY but for the next three to six years they will be senators.

TRUTH, TRANSPARENCY DIED WITH FOI BILL!

The ‘death’ of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Bill is not as simple as anyone might think.

TRANSPARENCY AND TRUTH died with it, while MIND-CONDITIONING efforts of PNoy’s government received a major boost.

With the archiving of the FOI Bill, we ordinary mortals have just lost a major weapon to find out the truth about government transactions or projects as well as pronouncements of supposed achievements.

For the simple reason that without FOI, we can’t just ask for whatever facts or figures about anything suspicious in government which we want to verify or investigate for ourselves.

All that the concerned agency has to say is it’s confidential and we need a court order or any other document which would allow us to freely find out what we want.

So TRUTH WILL ONLY BE what the government will tell us, or the media.

If we want to find out anything sensitive – like whatever happened to the HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF PESOS IN UNLIQUIDATED conditional cash transfer program (CCT) monies -- we’re on our own.

If the government boasts that millions of jobs have been created without naming  even one company which hired workers or one person who got a job, or millions of CCT beneficiaries without naming even one and citing where’s that person from –- then we can’t do anything about it.

Simply because there’s NO LAW which compels any government agency to reveal details of its public pronouncements to anybody at any given time.

And since it would be TOUGHER THAN TOUGH TO DIG DEEPER into any suspicious government project or transaction we stumble upon, it would be their version which would be hammered into our minds by their propagandists

Until hopefully, they get to brainwash even a few of us into believing they’re doing good, and deserve our support for their candidates, especially their senatorial bets, in the May elections.

So before anyone falls into this CHEAP AND AMATEURISH gimmick of PNoy’s government, answer this question first, TRUTHFULLY:

UMASENSO na ba ang buhay n’yo mula nang maging Presidente si PNoy? 30
