A story in gmanews.tv quoted Ombudsman Conchita
Carpio-Morales as saying: “The revising and re-opening of PDAF (Priority
Development Assistance Fund) cases (by the Department of Justice (DOJ)) is
vague, I don’t understand.” My take: Just leave the DOJ alone, Madam:
Anybody correct me if I’m wrong but the DOJ is
INDEPENDENT of or not UNDER YOU, Ms. Morales. It DOES NOT NEED to enlighten you
on ANYTHING they intend to do. Neither do they need your blessing or support in
the performance of their job. So PROFESSIONAL COURTESY dictates that you should
not question their intentions or plans in any way whatsoever.
Justice Sec. Vitaliano Aguirre DID NOT specifically
name you when he described the PNoyt Administration’s probe of the PDAF scam as
selective. So unless you want to prevent or hide something, there’s no reason
for you to react in the first place.
Sabi nga ng kabataan ngayon, “walang basagan ng
trip.”
If your office had indeed been fair in
investigating and prosecuting officials involved in the PDAF scam as you claim,
then it should not be a problem or an issue for you if the DOJ wants to reopen
the probe. If the DOJ would turn out wrong, then it’s their humiliation not
yours. So DON’T PREEMPT the DOJ’s plans.
Let them find out for themselves how fair you have been, as you claim to be. You’re not trying to hide anything, are you? 30
