WE
HAVE WON Round 1 of the fight for a righteous and constitutional Bangsamoro
Basic Law (BBL), ladies and gentlemen.
A
story in manilastandardtoday.com says House of Representatives leaders have
agreed to delete the “opt-in” and several other provisions in the BBL which are
widely being objected to. Most of all, House Majority Leader and Mandaluyong
Rep. Neptali Gonzales II the House would pass the BBL only when Congress
returns from its recess after PNoy delivers his final State of the Nation
Address (SONA) in July. And not on June 11 as PNoy and his allies had been
demanding.
C’mon
people, let’s all thank God, and House leaders for having the balls to stand up
to what is right instead of caving in to
pressure from PNoy and the leaders of
the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). These guys have proven that when we,
the people, are united, nothing is impossible and they will be with us and for
us. With this development, the more we should keep our eyes and ears glued to
the BBL and to speak out as one whenever new attempts will be made to make it
as a law for the few instead of for the many.
This
will also be the best gauge, so far, to determine if PNoy and his tribes are
really for the people or for the MILF, and Malaysia . It’s the House leaders who
have decided. Under the Constitution, the House approves or passes proposed
laws in its hands, NOT PNOY OR MALACANANG. If he is really our President, the ONLY
THING PNoy SHOULD DO NOW IS SHUT UP and just wait for the FINAL VERSION and
passage of the BBL. No side comments, n pressure in any form whatsoever, no
nothing. And that goes for his gangmates in the pro-BBL cabal. If PNoy reacts
otherwise CANDIDATES of his Liberal Party, from PRESIDENT DOWN TO COUNCILOR, DO
NOT DESERVE your vote in next year’s polls. Doing so will make you commit your
own style of BETRAYAL OF PUBLIC TRUST. 30
