BBL QUESTIONS PNOY MUST ANSWER, NOW!

With the increasing number of people and groups who reject the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL), it’s now clear that the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) DID NOT REPRESENT THE MAJORITY of the Muslims in peace talks with the government.  The latest to say ‘No’ are Koronadal City in South Cotabato and the congressman representing Zamboanga de Norte. They join, among others, the Sultanate of Sulu, factions of the Moro National Liberation Front, 85 MILF commander, the Tausogs and Zamboanga City.

So if PNoy is really for the country, being our President, and not for the MILF or its biggest supporter the Malaysian Government, he and his mouthpieces had better clarify the following, now:

First and foremost, PNoy and his people must show convincing and indisputable proof that the MILF still REPRESENTS THE MUSLIM MAJORITY and thus have the MORAL AND LEGAL RIGHT to negotiate peace and the BBL in their behalf.

Otherwise, WHY did PNoy's peace panel NEGOTIATE ONLY with the MILF? What was the basis, if any?  If none, what made the MILF VERY SPECIAL to the PNoy Government?  What claims were made by the MILF, if any, that convinced the PNoy government that thety were the ones who should represent the Muslims in coming up with the BBL? And were these allegations double-checked by the PNoy government before the BBL negotiations started? If yes, what were the results? If no, why not?

A common reason of BBL opponents is that THEY WERE NEVER CONSULTED in the drafting of the law. How accurate and true is this allegation, and whose idea was it? A member of the peace panel claimed they held talks with some 500 stakeholders as they wrote the BBL. f this is true, the names please. But they also have to detail their criteria in choosing whom to purportedly consult, and who approved their choices.

Are there bigger advantages in negotiating solely with the MILF than with the rest of the stakeholders? If yes, what are these and what are the grounds? If none, then WHY stick it out with the MILF?   

Keep your eyes and ears glued to the BBL controversy, ladies and gentlemen. The circumstances behind it are getting more and more SUSPICIOUS, to say the least.30
