I
never thought that Presidential Spokesman Edwin Lacierda can be such a LOUSY
ATTACK DOG against Sen. Bongbong Marcos in his CHILDISH, DESPERATE defense of
former PNP chief Alan Purisima.
Responding
to Marcos’ comment on the special treatment
Purisima is getting and rhe senator’s call to PNoy to fire the former
PNP chief file charges against him in court for meddling in the Mamasapano
operation of the PNP-Special Action Force (SAF)last Jan. 25, Lacierda
said: He [Purisima] has no more duties,
is that right? He has no responsibility anymore in the Philippine National
Police, in the line organization. He does not hold any position, so I don’t
know what Senator Bongbong Marcos is referring to.”
For
a lawyer and presidential spokesman,. Lacierda’s vocabulary and concept of the
phrase special treatment is nothing less than PATHETIC and TRAGICALLY LIMITED.
It’s
not a question of whether or not Purisima has a position in the PNP. The fact remains that Purisima
IS NOT, AND HAS NEVER BEEN CHARGED OR EVEN DISCIPLINED for meddling in the Mamasapano operation even
though HE WAS UNDER SUSPENSION then. Let’s not forget, people, 44 SAf
COMANDOES WERE MASSACRED in Mamasapano.
And from the it happened until the investigations by various bodies were
concluded, former SAf Director Getulio Napenas DID NOT CHANGE his statement
that it was Purisima from whom he was taking orders from at the time of the
operation.
Napenas
also DID NOT BACKTRACK on his testimony that it was Purusima who told him NOT
TO INFORM PNP Officer-in-Charge Leonardo Espina and DILG Sec. Mar Roxas of the
Mamasapano operation. And PNoy himself ADMITTED that Purisima was among the
first who informed him that the Mamasapano operation was on. But despite all
these, Purisima WAS NEVER TOUCHED. He wasn’t even DEMOTED OR OFFICIALLY
REPRIMANDED. Even if he went on leave,
Purisima will still get his approximately P100,000 in salaries and other
benefits.
If
that is still not special treatment as
far as Lacierda is concerned, then NOTHING WILL EVER BE for Purisima. This is
the kind of FAIRNESS the Aquino Administration has. The fairness they want to continue after the
polls next year. 30
MALACANANG CHIEF MOUTHPIECE LACIERDA, HAVE REASON TO CRITICIZE BONGBONG MARCOS FOR PRESSURING PRESIDENT AQUINO TO SACK AND DISCHARGE GENERAL PURISIMA FROM THE PNP HIERARCHY DUE TO HIS CRIMINAL IMPEDIMENTS AGAINST THE PNP/SAF 44.
ReplyDeleteTHE UNDERLYING REASON OF LACIERDA IS SIMPLE, THERE’S NO POINT OF HASTE TO DISCHARGE PURISIMA SINCE THE INJURY AND LOSS OF LIFE ONLY EXTENDED TO 44. STILL SHORT TO BEAT 100.
so to say, that's the one of the rewards of purisima from PNoy for taking all the blame... instead of PNoy...
