SEPT. 21 RALLY ORGANIZERS GETTING DESPERATE!

In  a story in interaksyon.com (http://www.interaksyon.com/group-accuses-duterte-of-desperately-trying-to-sabotage-sept-21-anti-dictatorship-rally/story), the Movement Against Tyranny (MAT) accused the Duterte administration of “trying to desperately sabotage” the protest rally it is organizing on Sept. 21 at the Luneta Park. The grounds they cited included pronouncements by President Digong Duterte that armed New People’s Army (NPA) rebels would join the event, he would declare martial law nationwide if the rally turned violent, he would declare a holiday on and reports of a government earthquake drill on the 21^st.

My take:  MAT is the one GETTING DESPERATE, NOT DIGONG!

First: If you’re NOT PLANNING ANY VIOLENCE, there’s no reason for you to even be BOTHERED by or take note of Digong’s martial law warning. You’re ALL IDIOTS AND INSANE if you think or will say that the government must not do anything even if you start attacking policemen or innocent bystanders, or destroying property. I’m not a lawyer but I will dare say that there’s NO LAW GRANTING IMMUNITY FROM ARREST to participants in protest rallies even if they start doing criminal acts. Anybody correct me if I’m wrong.

Second: Holiday or not, with or without an earthquake drill, people will still join your rally IF THEY REALLY BELIEVE in or even sympathize with what you’re fighting for. Kung TALAGANG GUSTO, WALANG MAKAKAPIGIL na kahit na ano o kahit na sino. Third: The warning on armed NPA rebels joining the rally is 100 percent logical anyway you look at it. If you will claim that it’s not possible and you can police your ranks, start coming out with SPECIFCS. If you don’t have any, there’s no SANE REASON for anyone to TRUST YOUR MERE WORDS.

SINO NGAYON ANG DESPERADO? And considering the crowds in past protest rallies, BALIW O HARI LAMANG NG MGA DUWAG ang kakabahan o magiging desperado sa inyo. 

MAT’S leaders include former Sen. Rene Saguisag, former Congressmen Neri Colmenares and Erin Tañada, Free Legal Assistance Group chairman Jose Manuel Diokno, activist nun Sr. Mary John Mananzan, and University of the Philippines Diliman chancellor Michael Tan. 30
