The press conference of Tomas
Bagcal, the taxi driver robbed by Carl Arnaiz has boosted or strengthened the
possibility of efforts to sabotage the anti-drug war of the Duterte
Administration.
In a story in gmanews.tv (http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/news/nation/625278/taxi-driver-robbed-by-carl-angelo-denies-executing-affidavit/story/),
members of the Rise Up for Life and for Rights movement which has been
protecting Bagcal said he would be willing to appear in the Senate's probe on
drug-related killings.
WHAT THE HELL IS THE
CONNECTION of Arnaiz’s death to drug war-related killings? Bagcal himself, and
the police, both say Arnaiz was killed after the robbery. NOT AFTER AN ANTI-DRUG
OPERATION OR BUY-BUST. So what the fuck does Bagcal have to do with the Senate
probe of drug war-related killings?
For the record, I AM FOR an
all-out investigation into Arnaiz’s killing. But I am TOTALLY AGAINST SHAMELESS
OPPORTUNISTS WHO WANT TO USE the kid’s death for their SELF-INTERESTS or those
of their bosses.
What further DECREASED the presscon’s
credibility/integrity was Bagcal DID NOT REVEAL EVERYTHING. What he repeatedly
said instead was he will reveal everything "in a proper venue." WHY
TALK in a presscon in the first place if you will not reveal everything? If
that’s your line of thinking, or that of Rise Up’s, then you and your coddlers should
have held the press conference in what you think is the proper venue.
Bagcal said Arnaiz’s death
appeared to be staged or scripted.
Personally, so does his presscon. 30
