Even without an impeachment hearing at the Senate,
Chief Justice Maria Lourdes SHOULD PROVE that she is MENTALLY FIT for her
position. If she won’t, here’s hoping she still has come DECENCY/DELICADEZA TO QUIT.
A story in gmanews.tv said in a House hearing
on the impeachment complaint against Sereno, a psychologist testified that the
Chief Justice had shown FIVE OF
THE NINE signs of "mental disturbance" --
grandiosity, preoccupied fantasies of unlimited power or brilliance, sense of
entitlement, interpersonally exploitative in order to take advantage of others
to achieve an end, and lack of empathy.

The alleged signs of mental disturbance
are VERY SPECIFIC in the story. So
Sereno CANNOT say that she needs DETAILS, FIRST. I’m not a lawyer but I will
dare say that there are NO EXCEPTIONS for a mentally person in the selection of
a Chief Justice. And WE, THE PEOPLE, are paying for Sereno’s salaries and other
perks, as well the expenses for her office, with our taxes. We have all the
right to know the TRUTH, AT ONCE!
If Sereno has nothing to hide, there
SHOULD BE NO PROBLEM for her to prove that she’s mentally stable. AT ONCE.
Otherwise, she should not react negatively if people begin doubting her sanity.
