A political analyst whom I regularly consult
has just described Leni Robredo’s plea to the Presidential Electoral Tribunal
(PET) to ignore Bongbong Marcos’ opposition to the canvassing of ballot images
with still unexplained rectangles beside her name as her BIGGEST BULLSHIT to
date.
The analyst agreed with me that if Leni’s plea
will be granted, what would stop others from tampering with ballots in future
elections?
We both noted that the rectangles were NOT on
the ballot when voters trooped to the polling precincts for the May 2016
elections. Neither was there any notice on the ballot about the rectangles, nor
in media before the polls for the people’s information.
“Meaning, the rectangles were placed on the
ballots WITHOUT THE PEOPLE’S KNOWLEDGE (emphasis mine). That’s TOTALLY IMMORAL.
And I agree with your observation, ONLY BESIDE LENI’S NAME. That makes it
IRREGULAR AND SUSPICIOUS, at the very least. But now, she’s insisting on having
the ballots with rectangles counted.
“On what legal and moral grounds?
“I also remember and agree with your
observation in your preceding blog that Comelec and Leni’s camp claimed that
the rectangles were revealed to candidates in a pre-election briefing. Bongbong’s
camp said they were not informed of that supposed briefing. When they asked for
copies of the minutes Comelec failed to give, and has not given them any.
“What will Leni think of next, ignore or legalize tampering altogether in future elections and just count the vote,” the analyst added. Your floor, people.30
We just looked ike a bunch of fools here. Having allowed to be used in those 3 moro moro elections. If the government will not do something and this election system will go on, I can say that this country is hopeless.
