Harap-harapan nang BINALE-WALA ni Chief
Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno ang Supreme Court (SC).

Sereno was quoted as saying in a forum in Quezon City: “Simulan ninyo na po ang
paglilitis ko sa Senado."
Alam ni Sereno na DEDESISYUNAN PA LAMANG ng
SC ang petition for quo warranto laban sa kaniya. Alam niya rin na kung
matatalo siya, TANGGAL SIYA BILANG CHIEF JUSTICE at maaaring hindi na magsagawa
ng impeachment trial laban sa kaniya ang Senado. Dahil HINDI NA SIYA ang Chief
Justice at isang ORDINARYONG MAMAMAYAN na lamang.
Pero maliwanag na ngayon pa lamang ay
BALE-WALA na kay Sereno anuman ang maging desisyon ng SC. Sa apila niya sa
Senado na simulan na ang impeachment trial niya, pinakita na ni Sereno na
MATALO MAN SIYA sa quo warranto ay HINDI NIYA KIKILALANIN.
Anybody correct me if I’m wrong: The SC is
the FINAL ARBITER AND INTERPRETER of the Law. Whatever the SC ruling, especially
if it’s final and immediately executory, is how petitions or legal questions
will be settled. NO ONE ELSE is above
them. NOT EVEN SERENO HERSELF. Sereno may be Chief Justice but SC decisions ARE
NOT by her alone but by a majority of the entire court.
Sereno is fully aware of this. But tragically,
it seems SHE THINKS SHE ALONE IS THE SC, How unfortunate can we Filipinos get.
