MEDIA BIAS TO THE MAX VS NARCO LIST

P14.9 billion worth of shabu

This is NOTHING LESS THAN MEDIA BIAS at its finest on the narco list of 82 mostly incumbent local officials who are ALLEGEDLY INVOLVED in one way or another in illegal drugs which is set to be released by the Duterte Administration. And that also goes to ALL ‘YELLOW CULT’ members and their allies in the Opposition who are BARKING A SIMILAR STATEMENT like mad dogs.

A story in https://newsinfo.inquirer.net/1093328/media-groups-call-for-prudence-in-reporting-narco-list?utm_expid=.XqNwTug2W6nwDVUSgFJXed.1quoted quoted a joint statement by the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines (NUJP), Philippine Center of Investigative Journalism (PCIJ), Philippine Press Institute (PPI), Center for Media Freedom and Responsibility (CMFR), Mindanews, Center for Community Journalism and Development (CCJD) and Freedom for Media, Freedom for All Network addressed to journalists as saying:

“Instead of rushing to print or air, we now urge all our colleagues to exercise utter prudence and fastidious judgment in evaluating this ‘story. To be sure, the story offers just a list of names, but not the full, substantive details of why or how those on the list had been tagged or plugged as so-called narco politicians. Verify, verify, verify. And do so independently. That is the first thing that the news media can and should do, before running a list that tags and links people to hateful crimes, on the mere say-so of the President and his political lieutenants.”

The media groups added that the Duterte administration “seems to want the news media to publish and broadcast with no thought to the journalistic values of fairness, accuracy, and independence.”

Verify, verify, verify?

And SHAME ON YOU to the max for categorically accusing the Duterte Government of wanting the news media to publish and broadcast the narco list with no thought to the journalistic values of fairness, accuracy, and independence. How dare you!

NONE OF YOU for sure participated in finalizing the narco list. Because if somebody had, you guys would have come out with NAMES AND DETAILS AND NOT JUST A GENERIC STATEMENT. So you have NO MORAL AND PROFESSIONAL GROUND AND RIGHT TO PREJUDGE the Duterte Government. With this sweeping indictment, you’re the ones who have no thought to fairness, accuracy and independence.

Lastly, in the interest of TRUE FAIR PLAY, come out immediately with your PHYSICAL PROOF that list “tags and links people to hateful crimes, on the mere say-so of the President and his political lieutenants.” And that the list is “just a list of names, but not the full, substantive details of why or how.”

If you don’t have any physical proof, I sincerely hope you’re all not part of a massive mind-conditioning campaign and have not forgotten the true meaning of FAIRNESS.
