To eastern Metro Manilans suffering from the
water shortage, think about this:
The owners (I’m just not sure if sole or
majority) of Manila Water, the Ayalas, are known allies of the 'Yellows,' who are solidly behind the Ocho Derecho.
The water shortage comes at a time when they
and Ocho Derecho andidates themselves CANNOT DENY the MISERABLE survey results
and COLD RECEPTION they have been getting in their campaign trail.
Like the snob their senatorial bets got at
Plaza Miranda in Manila during the EDSA 1 commemoration and at the Central
District in Hong Kong just last Sunday. A lot of the bystanders in the Hong
Kong rally were even shouting ‘Duterte, Duterte’ as Ocho Derecho candidates
spoke on stage.
It has not rained for weeks, yes. But it is
also RIDICULOUS to say the least that for all the billions of pesos they have
collected from eastern Metro Manilans Manila Water has been INCOMPETENT ENOUGH
(if not GREEDIER THAN GREEDY) not to prepare in advance for eventualities like
the current crisis.
For Ocho Derecho to start gaining even a
glimmer of hope, the Duterte government’s popularity must be severely shaken NOW
at the very least. So that, hopefully, the public ire/anger will trickle down
the candidates of the Duterte Administration.
Think very seriously about this, people. Our
future for the next three to six years is at stake.
