RAISSA ROBLES’ MALICE TO THE MAX!

Here’s MALICE TO THE MAX by Raissa Robles: 

Robles alleged that  former President now House of Representatives Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo is CRUDELY AND SECRETLY RAMMING through a legal bid to stay in power forever by authoring a House Resolution scrapping the 1987 Constitution and replacing it with her own version of a federal government. Raissa CONVENIENTLY, AND MALICIOUSLY, DID NOT CITE the fact that the resolution had 21 OTHER CO-AUTHORS. Mainstream media did, like manilatimes.net. In a story in https://www.manilatimes.net/new-draft-charter-removes-term-limits/449817/, Arroyo also clarified that her only contribution to the resolution was a proposal for the establishment of federal states. “All the other provisions were submitted by ConCom (Constitutional Commission). That’s the only thing I added.” Robles DID NOT MENTION THIS.

Robles claimed that there was no public hearing on the resolution before it was adopted by the House Committee in its entirety. But I was informed that the proposed federal government constitution went through several public consultations and committee hearings. 

Robles claimed that with the proposed removal of term limits favors Arroyo. But THINK ABOUT THIS, people: 

The Resolution designates the Senate President, NOT THE SPEAKER, as “acting President” in case President Duterte’s term is cut short. Robles pointed out that the Senate President will only be the acting Chief Executive “until a President shall have been chosen. Since term limits will be lifted and there is no ban on former presidents being chosen, then Arroyo could well maneuver to be the one.

But Robles DID NOT CITE ANY BASIS for her sweeping conclusion that Arroyo could well maneuver to the chosen one. And remember, people, the selection will NOT BE LIMITED to the Speaker. And there are other influential lawmakers besides Arroyo.

Robles attacked Arroyo ALONE for the work of 21 OTHER LAWMAKERS like her. She did not bother to get the side of Arroyo or her office. The proposed lifting of term limits for lawmakers will benefit all congressmen and senators but Robles ONLY SINGLES OUT Arroyo.

MALICE WOULD EVEN BE AN UNDERSTATEMENT!
