Regardless of the legal grounds, the refusal
by Makati Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Andres Soriano to issue a warrant of
arrest for Antonio Trillanes was a BULLSHIT OF A DECISION!
Soriano was APPOINTED to the Makati RTC by
then President Noynoy Aquino. And we all know that Noynoy and President Digong
Duterte ARE DEFINITELY NOT ON GOOD TERMS.
So Soriano SHOULD NOT HAVE ACCEPTED the case
right from the start. For DELICADEZA. With or without a motion by the
prosecution.
What is the people’s guarantee now that his
decision was not influenced by Noynoy or anyone from the ‘Yellow Cult?’
Especially considering the fact that while Soriano refused to issue an arrest warrant
and hold departure order (HDO), against Trillanes, he UPHELD THE VALIDITY of
Digong’s proclamation nullifying his amnesty.
A doctor of laws whom I consulted before
writing this piece told me the normal procedure should have been for the judge
to issue an arrest warrant ASAP since Trillanes’ case was NON-BAILABLE!
Another lawyer whom I caught up with added: "With his link to Noynoy, and the lack of physical proof on the part of Trillanes, Judge Soriano will have a lot of explaining to do."

ReplyDeleteMajority of Filipinos disagree with the decision of Judge Soriano. I am sure the DOJ will appeal the decision to the Supreme Court and hopefully a faster and quicker decision will be rendered ASAP.
