It now appears that Sen. Ping Lacson’s claim that the Pampanga district which Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo represents got a total allocation of P2.242 billion in funds for priority projects in the proposed 2019 national budget is FAKE NEWS, and UNFAIR!

In a story in https://newsinfo.inquirer.net/1060384/zamora-denies-lacsons-pork-allegations-vs-2-house-lawmakers, House Appropriations Committee acting chairperson Rep. Maria Carmen Zamora said GMA’s district only got a P500-million increase from the original P1.4 billion allocation, bringing the total to P1.9 billion and NOT P2.242 billion as Lacson alleged.

And take note, people, the increase was based on the realignment sent by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). And NOT by any congressman.

Zamora even added: “I don’t agree na nabuhusan ng proyekto ang distrito ng Pampanga because ganun pa rin kung ano ang nasa NEP (National Expenditure Program). I do not know where the good senator actually got his figures because when I checked on our record, I don’t see any congressperson na may ganung kalaking increase.”

What’s worse, guys,   is COOP-NATCCO Rep. Anthony Bravo, a member of the House  panel which scrutinized  individual amendments of congressmen to the national budget, ADMITTED that : “There are still other districts that (requested) re-aligned projects and in fact, there are also other districts that (received) additional fund as identified by the DPWH. ZINERO (emphasis mine) in lang natin sa district ni Speaker.”  To which Zamora added: “Well, it is quite unfair naman to really single out the district of Pampanga. “

Welcome sumagot ang kahit na sino!
