DON'T TAKE YOUR EYES OFF THE BANGSAMORO!

Don’t take your eyes off the planned Bangsamoro estate, people.

Amid the flood of ‘praise releases’ from the government and government officials, there are NO CLEAR INDICATORS on how THREE VERY VITAL concerns will  be handled .by the government, to the country’s favor.

DISARMAMENT, DECOMMISSIONING of MILF fighters and WEALTH SHARING.

There is NO DEADLINE, not even a tentative one, for MILF fighters to lay down their guns, and for the national government to assume police powers. Similarly, there is no target schedule for the assumption of the national government of police powers in Bangsamoro.

More importantly, there are NO PROPOSED limitations on when or how and to whom can MILF fighters use their weapons while negotiations on the Bangsamoro are ongoing.

Or what will the government od if even some MILF fighters refuse to yield their weapons, as a brigade commander of the group had warned in a story in gmanewstv yesterday.

So like what happened to the 19 soldiers in Basilan, the MILF can still SLAUGHTER our soldiers at any given time for whatever reason they deem as justifiable.

Most of all, PNoy himself REFUSES to say anything on how will the sharing of wealth be between the MILF and the government, considering reports that the areas the MILF wants for Bangsamoro are rich in natural resources and oil.

And there is rapidly spreading talk that the wealth sharing scheme under consideration is 75-25, IN FAVOR OF THE MILF.

Even a commoner will READILY REALIZE that the dangers behind these concerns are CONTINUED BLOODBATH and GROSS ECONOMIC DISADVANTAGE to the government.

So government negotiators should have prioritized even the ground rules for these in the framework agreement (God have mercy on our country if they didn’t simply because they were too stupid).

But the government clearly DID NOT.

The MILLION-DOLLAR question now is WHY? What is the real game plan?  What should we really expect?

BE EXTRA VIGILANT, boys and girls. There’s NO REASON to celebrate. There are a thousand reasons to worry and be afraid. 30
