In
case you haven’t noticed, people, here is the TRAGIC LINK between the RH bill
and Typhoon ‘Pablo.’
The
death toll from ‘Pablo’ has reached 1,043 as I was writing this blog. Tens of
thousands more remain homeless and in evacuation centers.
But
except for Manny Pacquiao, I have yet to hear of EVEN ONE SENATOR OR
CONGRESSMAN who has PERSONALLY visited the survivors at evacuation centers or
at wherever they’re staying to distribute relief goods.
Or
to get first-hand accounts of what exactly happened.
I
have also yet to hear of even one senator or congressman who has personally
pushed for an immediate Senate or House investigation into the devastation.
A
probe which they cal for, and conduct faster than lightning like what they have
done to issues about the Arroyo Administration or to then Chief Justice Renato
Corona.
Regardless
of whether or not the congressman is from areas devastated by ‘’Pablo,’ or if
the senator is running for re-election in next year’s elections or not.
Anybody
correct me if I’m wrong.
Pero
HALOS LAHAT ng senador at congressman ay present sa botohan para sa pagpasa ng
RH bill.
I
read several days ago that congressmen will donate P5,000 each from their
salaries for ‘Pablo’s’ victims. There were also reports that the minority bloc had
prepared their own relief package.
But
there has been no physical proof that these aid have been given already to the
victims.
More
importantly, I have yet to hear of even
one senator or congressman who has demanded an explanation from Department of
Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and national disaster relief officials on
what’s making it so difficult to distribute aid to ‘Pablo’s’ victims.
Or
why is 844 people still missing,, almost two weeks after ‘Pablo’ struck?
For
the record, I’m not working for any senator or congressman. But I am writing
this piece to hopefully help our people realize the VERY LITTLE IMPORTANCE
being given to ‘Pablo’s’ victims compared to the RH bill, and the P21 BILLION
which has been allotted to it once it becomes law.
