Department
of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Sec, Dinky Soliman and the head of the
Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) should be included in
any probe of the deaths and devastation brought about by Typhoon ‘Pablo.’
For
the DENR:
It’s
being widely circulated in media and among the people that mining and illegal
logging are to blame for ‘Pablo’s’ destructive fury. Has the DENR done anything
against illegal loggers and miners?
Has
it identified the culprits? If not, why? Is it doing anything at all to name
and bring these environment criminals to justice?
If it hasn’t accomplished anything, the DENR
secretary and his assistants for illegal logging and mining had better have an
AIR-TIGHT JUSTIFICATION, which does not deserve their IMMEDIATE TERMINATION and
the filing of cases against them.
Is
the DENR secretary doing anything now to prevent another bloodbath and
hell in the next super typhoon?
For
the DSWD:
Exactly
how much and what has been the cost of the relief which the DSWD has extended
so far to ‘Pablo’s’ victims?
Take
note, boys and girls: We have been hearing everyday of aid pouring in from all
over the country and from abroad. But NO VERIFIED UPDATE so far on how much has
the DSWD spent .
Anybody
correct me if I’m wrong.
WALA
relief at KUING SAAN-SAAN NA NAGASTOS ITO.
Has
anybody heard or seen Soliman give a PUBLIC BREAKDOWN, complete with receipts
and other documentary proof, OF HOW MUCH HAD BEEN SPENT ON WHAT and who were
the beneficiaries?
I
haven’t. If I’m wrong, anybody please give me the DETAILS. Not just generic
claims but DETAILS.
More
importantly, a common and consistent complaint among ‘Pablo’s’ victims is
relief comes too late or too slow and is too little in quantity.
What
preparations did Soliman undertake to fast-track the distribution of relief
goods once the typhoon struck? Remember, people, ‘Pablo’ was monitored FOR
SEVERAL DAYS and EVERYBODY knew he was coming.
Did
Soliman and the DSWD have distribution plans? If yes, who made it and what were the details?
Did these include alternative routes and systems in case roads are rendered
impassable?
Did
she even think of coordinating with the
Armed Forces, the Department of Public Works and Highways or any other government agency with
heavy-duty vehicles for possible support in transporting relief goods to areas unreachable by ordinary cars or vans?
If
Soliman will say that the DSWD has no distribution strategy, or alternative
contingency plans in case of severe weather during natural calamities, WALA
SIYANG SILBI.
Even
a high school kid knows the importance of a contingency or back-up plan..
MAHIYA
NAMAN SA BALAT nIya si Soliman kung di siya MAGRE-RESIGN sa ganung sitwasyon.
