GWEN GARCIA SCORES MORAL VICTORY!

Whether or not her political foes admit it, Cebu Gov. Gwen Garcia has won a moral victory in her fight against her suspension.

A story in manilastandardtoday.com says according to police, 0,000 people trooped to the Cebu provincial capitol yesterday to show their support for Garcia.

That’s double the 5,000 people whom police say showed up at a rally spearheaded by acting Cebu Gov. Agnes Magpale at the Capitol Parish Church, about a kilometer away from the capitol.

A JAW-SHATTERING UPPER CUT for Magpale, who had claimed just days ago that according to a purported radio survey, majority of Cebuanos are suggesting the cutoff of the water and power supply to Garcia’s office to force her out of the capitol.

As well as to Presidential Spokesman Edwin Lacierda, who had boasted at the start of the Cebu standoff that local surveys show popular support for Garcia’s suspension.

Not only did Gwen’s 10,000 supporters UNDENIABLY BELIED Magpale’s claim.

They RESOUNDINGLY drove home the message that they DON’T BELIEVE in the accusations against her by anybody.

What now, Ms. Magpale? Mr. Lacierda? To our friends in Cebu: MANINIWALA PA BA KAYO sa anumang sabihin nina Magpale at Lacierda.

And in clear DESPERATION to muster public support for Garcia’s suspension, PNoy finally spoke up on the issue and stressed that the evidence against her was very clear.

But here’s the catch, boys and girls: PNoy FAILED, or should I say DID NOT, EXPLAIN or counter Garcia’s defense that her suspension had violated the Local Government Code and Administrative Order No. 23.

Under the Code, the Office of the President (O.P.) should decide on a complaint 30 days after its investigation. Under the Order, the O.P. also has 30 days to decide after it receives the records of a complaint from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).

The O.P. took more than 400 days and 100 days, respectively.

Anybody correct me if I’m wrong but NOBODY from the government has demolished this point in Gwen’s defense.

PNoy said Garcia's suspension was thoroughly studied by the DILG, and that it had been a long process. But HE DID NOT CITE any law which exempts Garcia’s case from the deadlines set by the Code and the Order.

Ibig bang sabihin ni PNoy ay WALANG DEADLINE-DEADLINE ang batas sa kaniya pag MAY GUSTO SIYANG MANGYARI?

That would be A DICTATORIAL MENTALITY, in the DEMOCRACY we live in.

Just look around the sidewalks of the city of Manila.
