An inquirer.net story several days ago said PNoy is expected to enumerate in
Switzerland next week the supposed major successes of his anti-corruption
drive, like the prosecution and detention of his predecessor, Gloria
Macapagal-Arroyo (GMA) and the impeachment and removal of Chief Justice Renato
Corona.
My question: WHERE IS THE SUCCESS?
When you say success, your allegations have been PROVEN BEYOND
REASONABLE DOUBT in accordance with the law.
But even PNoy himself CANNOT DENY that NOTHING of the accusations
against GMA has been proven yet in court. NOT ONE and anybody correct me if I’m
wrong, NOT A SINGLE PIECE of indisputable proof to date.
But up to now, NO ONE among PNoy’s people has proven that Corona ’s wealth is dirty,
or had come from UNLAWFUL activities or sources.
So WHERE IS THE CORRUPTION?
I’m not saying that GMA and Corona
are innocent. Unless the court itself declares so, I will never say the
accusations against them are lies.
But we live n a democratic country.
And in a democratic form of government, ONLY THE COURT has the
LEGAL AND MORAL AUTHORITY to declare if a person is guilty or not, or corrupt
or not.
NOT PNOY OR ANYONE ELSE in government. Or the numerous PRESS
RELEASES which echo accusations they hurl against their government’s foes and
critics.
Regardless of whether or not it’s proven by fact and physical
evidence..
If PNoy’s word or those of his mouthpieces will be the gauge of a
person’s guilt or innocence, then we’re no longer in a democracy. We’re in a
DICTATORSHIP.
To both pro and anti-PNoys: Would you preer dictatorship than
democracy? 30
