If the Senate will be audited on the use of its funds, then the
same thing should be done to Malacanang and the House of Representatives.
For a truly fair and square accounting of how our taxes are being
spent by both senators and congressmen and most of all, PNoy and his boys in
the Palace.
They all use taxpayers’ money, OUR MONEY, for their expenditures
and disbursements.
And even if I’m not a politician or a lawyer, I will dare say that
there’s no law which provides that only the branch of government which is in a
controversy shall be accountable to the people for their taxes.
PNoy and every senator and congressman are ALL ACCOUNTABLE to the
people. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Remember, guys: Malacanang, the Senate and the House all have
BILLIONS OF PESOS in various budgets.
But except for infrastructure projects or programs which they
occasionally feed to media for publicity, the people PRACTICALLY KNOW NOTHING
of how and for what are these three co-equal branches spending our taxes.
We don’t have any proof either that their disbursements are LEGAL.
But IT’S OUR RIGHT TO KNOW. It’s our HARD-EARNED TAXES which are
being spent in the Senate, House and Malacanang.
To supposedly clamor solely for an audit of Senate funds would be
a TRAGIC DEFEAT for all of us in our fight for TOTAL TRANSPARENCY. More
importantly, it will be a FREE LESSON to corrupt government personnel on what
to expect in an audit and how to fix their shenanigans before auditors appear
at their offices.
As an old saying goes: KUNG WALANG ITINATAGO, WALANG DAPAT ITAGO!
Whoever objects to an audit has something which we must not know
of or see as far their concerned. Write
down the name, and those of the candidates he or she supports, and bring the
list with you when you vote in the May elections.
That person or his or her \candidates are then ones whom you
should not entrust with your votes.
Not just in May but IN EVERY ELECTION for the REST OF YOUJR LIVES!

Wasn't he the same senator who said something
like "the pandak at Malacanang" and equated her with Zaccheus of the
Bible> He also bashed PGMA and the FG when the popularity of PGMA was
declining? Then, he ran for re-election and won. Now could it be that he is
using again the same strategy because Enrile's popularity is at its lowest?
