IMELDA CONVICTION MORALLY, ETHICALLY QUESTIONABLE

Here’s another reason why the conviction of former First Lady Imelda Marcos is nothing her family’s critics should celebrate:

The conviction was MORALLY AND ETHICALLY QUESTIONABLE!

ONLY after 27 long years was the decision reached, at a time when Mrs. Marcos is running for governor of Ilocos Norte against a former political ally. If there was indeed evidence, enough evidence, why wasn’t the conviction handed down YEARS EARLIER?

Because nothing could be proven?

The chairman of the Sandiganbayan division which convicted Mrs. Marcos, Justice Rafael Lagos, was appointed to the Sandiganbayan by then President Noynoy Aquino on Dec. 9, 2010.

That early, every adult Filipino was already aware that Noynoy considers the Marcoses his enemies for life. So ethically, Lagos should have INHIBITED right after the case was raffled off to his division. WHY DIDN’T HE?

So before anti-Marcoses shout for joy to high heavens, PROVE FIRST THE TOTAL IMPARTIALITY AND MORALITY behind it. Otherwise, don’t even dream that you can now break the spirits of pro-Marcoses with the conviction.

That will be your worst nightmare.
