I checked out Karen Davila’s twitter page and saw this tweet: “Dear Mr President, bago ang pagbabago ng sistema ng gubyerno ayusin muna ang passport application sa DFA. Bakit nagkakaganito?! Simpleng passport nagwawala mga tao - walang appointment, nagkagulo sa pila sa Manila City Hall. Sabi nyo ayaw nyo ng pila - unahin na ito please.”

So, this is MALICE, Karen Davila style.

The veteran journalist that she is, It would be both RIDICULOUS AND IMPOSSIBLE to even think that Karen didn’t know (and SHAME ON HER  if she really did not), that the passport is the IMMEDIATE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITY of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) of Sec. Alan Peter Cayetano. Therefore, it’s the DFA and Cayetano whom she should hit, not President Digong Duterte. It’s the BASIC PROCEDURE which even high school kids know about. So why did she attack Digong instead?

Like the rest of us, Karen is free to criticize anyone, anytime. But whether she likes it or not, that attack has to be FAIR, FACTUAL AND APPROPRIATE.  To ignore all these in doing so would be nothing less than an IRRESPONSIBLE and MALICIOUS exercise of the freedom of expression. 30.
