Before Rappler and its allies FOOL ANYBODY
with their LIES, let’s be VERY VERY CLEAR:
Amnesty International’s said in a gmanews.tv
story
(http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/news/nation/639801/ai-sec-ruling-to-shut-down-rappler-alarming-attack-vs-independent-journalism/story/?just_in)
the decision of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to revoke Rappler’s
registration is "an alarming attempt to silence independent journalism."
Stories CRITICAL to President Digong Duterte
and his government, including ONE-SIDED REPORTS, CONTINUE to come out or get
aired FREELY in the ENTIRE Philippine Media Industry, ESPECIALLY in the Philippijne
Daily Inquirer and ABS-CBN, since he assumed the Presidency. But Inquirer and
ABS-CBN still exist. NO ONE among their reporters has been sued by Digong or his
government for libel. The same thing with THE REST of the media industry. And NOT S SINGLE MEDIA COMPANY, or reporter,
CRITICAL of Digong has ever COMPLAINED OF BEING HARASSED, THREATENED OR
PRESSURED IN ANY MANNER WHATSOVER into stopping..
So WHERE is the IDIOTIC FUCK of a LIE of a supposed
attempt to silence independent journalism is Amnesty International talking
about? I raise the same question to Bam Aquino, who said Rappler’s closure “is a win for fake news, and a loss for
dissenting voices and free speech.” and to Antonio Trillanes, who claimed the
revocation of Rappler’s registration was a “clear attempt” by President Duterte
to “muzzle the few remaining independent media outfits in the country.”
Rappler Chief Executive Officer Maria Ressa claimed in an inquirer.net story that the case against them began in August, and that they were not given an opportunity to respond or denied due process. But she DID NOT PRESENT ANY PROOF. And if the case began in August, it’s VERY and HIGHLY UNLIKELY that they were never asked to respond. Why? Their lawyers would have QUESTIONED that immediately and Rappler would have come out at once with a story, repeatedly, about it BEING THE AGGRIEVED PARTY. Unless they’ll ADMIT that they and their lawyers are STUPID ENOUGH not to have thought of asking for an immediate opportunity to be heard.
Ressa admitted in a philstar.com story
(http://beta.philstar.com/headlines/2018/01/16/1778232/sec-orders-rappler-shut-down)
that “…we were warned in the first of week of December last year that the SEC
would be handing down a ruling against us…” And yet, SHE DID NOT SAY in her
statement that they did anything to compel the SEC to listen to them. Now, she’s
complaining of Rappler being denied due process.
PRESENT YOJR PROOF FIRST, Ms. Ressa and her
allies, before continuing with all sorts of accusations. If you have no proof,
as an old saying goes, TELL IT TO THE MARINES! 30
