Here’s another DELAYING TACTIC by Leni Robredo
against the recount of her and Bongbong Marcos’ votes in the 2016 polls.
This time, Leni is objecting to the
Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) order that only respective municipal
treasurers and elections officers would deliver the ballots and other
election teams to the Tribunal’s retrieval team for transport to Manila
for the recount. Leni said in a motion that both her and Bongbong’s representatives
should be allowed to witness the inventory and transport of ballot boxes.
I denounce this as another dilatory tactic by
Leni because:
First: Her petition WOULD HAVE TO BE RESOLVED
FIRST by the PET BEFORE the retrieval can be carried out. And God knows how long
again will the PET take to decide.
Second: Take note, people, the ballots and
election documents covered by Leni’s motion are in Camarines Sur, which
everybody knows is HER TERRITORY. If Bongbong is CONFIDENT ENOUGH NOT TO ASK that
his representatives be present in the retrieval, WHY CAN’T LENI? She INSISTS on
a clean victory in the 2016 elections. But she’s NOT THAT SECURED in her very
own bailiwick.
Leni also wants the PET to allow her and
Bongbong’s people to escort and accompany the ballot boxes, election
documents and paraphernalia from their respective storage to the
designated retrieval point of the PET team. Again, it’s her territory. She’s in
a much better position than Bongbong to do anything in the process. Besides,
the PNP Special Action Force or any other elite escort group of the police and
the military would be more than enough to do the job.
