LENI CAMP IN CLEAR PANIC MODE!

Whether they admit it or not, Leni Robredo’s camp is in UNDENIABLE PANIC MODE over the manual recount of votes covered by Bongbong Marcos’ protest against her.

In a story in https://www.philstar.com/headlines/2018/04/18/1807004/robredo-camp-slams-marcos-attempt-influence-recount, Leni’s lawyers Romy Macalintal and Maria Bernadette Sardillo have filed a second manifestation of grave concern before the Supreme Court, sitting as the PET, over alleged attempts of Bongbong ‘s lawyer Joan Padilla to influence the recount. Macalintal said: “Instead of merely observing the proceedings on April 13, Padilla went around the revision area, aggressively telling the PET head (revisers) to implement the 50-percent threshold percentage.”  He added that Padilla also told the head revisers to post the PET resolution “in every corner or table in the revision area.” 

Take note: Just a manifestation of concern, NOT A CASE OR COMPLAINT!

           

First: The recount is UNDER THE SUPERVISION of the PET. I’m not a lawyer but I will dare say that it will take more than a miracle for an ordinary lawyer to INFLUENCE the PET on how to carry on with the recount with JUST HER ACTIONS.

Second: The 50 percent threshold is already a PET decision for implementation. It is not a ruling by Padilla alone or by Bongbong’s camp. The revisors are the ones who will implement it so it’s but NATURAL for Padilla to remind them for the protection of her client Bongbong. I consulted a lawyer before I wrote this blog. He told me that there’s nothing illegal when a lawyer reminds concerned parties about something which could help his or her client. The lawyer I consulted added: “That’s why Macalintal and Sardilllo only filed a manifestation of concern, and not a case. They know there’s nothing illegal in what they’re talking about.” Oh, and before I forget, Macalintal did not cite even one witness to prove their manifestation.

Third: Macalintal and Sardillo’s manifestation is an INSULT TO THE INTELLECT AND INTEGRITY of the revisors. For sure, the revisors are smart enough to know that they have to implement the PET’s 50 percent threshold ruling. They don’t need to be influenced by anybody to do their job. .

When somebody REACTS NEGATIVELY AND SEEKS LEGAL REMEDY to something which is legal but could ADVERSELY AFFECT his or her interests, it’s nothing less than PANIC. Anybody correct me if I’m wrong. 30
