Former President now Pampanga Rep. Gloria
Macapagal-Arroyo (GMA) has been VINDICATED. Former Justice Sec. Leila de Lima has
been SHAMED BY HER DISREGARD of the Law .
A story in http://news.abs-cbn.com/news/04/17/18/sc-says-doj-watchlist-order-vs-arroyo-couple-unconstitutional reported that the
Supreme Court has unanimously nullified a 2011
Department of Justice (DOJ) circular during De Lima’s term which allowed a watch
list order barring GMA and then First Gentleman Mike Arroyo from leaving the
country.
This despite an SC order in
October 2011 granting GMA’s prayer for a temporary restraining order on the
watch list order.
In simple and crystal-clear
language, the SC said the DOJ has no authority to bar anyone from leaving the
country without a court order since it would be a violation of the person’s right
to travel. "The Court, in
interpreting Article III, Section 6, determined that there was NO LEGAL BASIS
(EMPHASIS MINE) Department Circular Order no. 41 because of the absence of a
law authorizing the Secretary of Justice to issue Hold Departure Orders,
Watchlist orders, or Allow Departure Orders.”
The good lawyer that she is, It
would be difficult to believe that De Lima did not research, thoroughly, first
before issuing the circular. But SHE
DID. As to why, you’re guess is as good as mine, ladies and gentlemen.
BOTTOMLINE: De Lima committed
an INJUSTICE to the Arroyos. She IGNORED the SC and she now complains of
injustice in any manner and form she can think of. Did I hear somebody say 'karma?' 30
You must have heard it from me..Yes, Delima is now receiving karma.
ReplyDeletePersonally, i'm grateful the SC has laid its ruling over that DOJ's order of then secretary deLima. Vindication is not enough if without filing a case against de Lima by the Arroyos' she should be kept in cell for her lifetime.... that suffices the claim of KARMA
