Since the Senate has ordered the arrest of
former Comelec Chairman Andy Bautista for ignoring hearings on his alleged
ill-gotten wealth, it should ask for the CANCELLATION of his passport at once
to force him to come home from the United States.
And if legally possible (since I’m not a
lawyer), something had better be done to FREEZE ALL of Bautista’s assets. It
would be an effective added pressure on him to return. This is a GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY for the Senate t
prove that they mean business and are totally impartial when it comes to helping
enforce the law.
I read somewhere that Bautista claimed he did
not receive any invitation from the Senate to appear in hearings on his alleged
ill-gotten wealth. This is OUTRIGHT RIDICULOUS AND IDIOTIC. Unless Bautista
would admit to having ILLITERATES OR INSANE housemaids or family members, no
one in his or her right mind would ignore something from the Senate. Or not
inform him about it, WHEREVER HE IS!
Remember, people, Bautista’s ex-wife Patricia
had bank passbooks and other PHYSICAL PROOF when she came out in public months
ago and accused him of having amassed some P1 BILLION in dirty money. And to
date, BAUTISTA HAS NOT PRESENTED any evidence to belie Patricia’s claims. As
they say in English, flight is an admission of guilt.
