So, Antonio Trillanes is invoking
parliamentary immunity in asking for the dismissal of inciting to sedition
charges filed against him for telling soldiers: “Duterte
will not be there for long. Please do not do anything illegal or
unconstitutional."
We may not be all lawyers. But
NOT ALL of us are totally ignorant either of the law. SHAME ON YOU if that’s
the way you think!
Parliamentary immunity is applicable
ONLY if the statement issued was part of a privileged speech, or of proceedings
during a Senate hearing. But that was NOT THE SITUATION.
You said that, Trillanes, while
you were LIVING IN YOUR SENATE OFFICE following the revocation of the amnesty
granted to you in 2011 for your failed uprisings years earlier. That was NOT
PART of a privilege speech then. You were NOT IN A HEARING either.

And think about this, boys and
girls: The Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office is an office of SEASONED PROSECUTORS
AND LAWYERS. They definitely know their job. Trillanes is NOT EVEN A LAWYER.
Save your breath for the court,
Trillanes. Not even in your wildest dreams can you mislead the people. You don’t
have the credibility.
