DON’T CELEBRATE YET, LENI!
Leni Robredo had better not celebrate yet over
the assurance of President Digong Duterte that she will finish her term as
vice-president. For the simple reason that IT’S NOT HIM who will decide on the
protest of Bongbong Marcos against her.
Digong can give all the assurances he wants.
But in the end, it’s still the Supreme Court acting as the Presidential
Electoral Tribunal (P.E.T) who will determine if Leni should stay in office or
should go. In case Leni loses in the protest, Duterte HAS NO POWER TO OVERTURN
THE VERDICT.
Besides, it was but natural for Digong to issue
that statement. Leni has been repeatedly alleging, WITHOUT BASIS, that there is
a supposed plot to steal the vice-presidency from her. Common sense dictates that
if Digong will keep silent, Leni’s next malicious statement would be he is
supportive r behind the supposed plot.
The P.E.T is the final battleground, Leni. Not
Malacanang. See you there, with your evidence. If there’s any, that’s it.30
