DID COMELEC PAY SMARTMATIC’S QUESTIONABLE
P2-B?
The Commission on Elections
(Comelec) had better reveal AT ONCE if it paid the QUESTIONABLE P2-BILLION which
Smartmatic is DEMANDING for the delay in the return of vote-counting machines
(VCM) to the company. The P2-billion WILL COME FROM THE PEOPLE’S MONEY so we
have all the right to be updated immediately. And if Comelec had indeed paid,
they had better give us an AIR-TIGHT LEGAL JUSTIFICATION.
The delay in the return had
been due, in part, to the protest filed by Bongbong Marcos against Leni
Robredo. But Comelec Commissioner Rowena Guanzon herself pointed out in a radio
interview that: Nag-lease lang kami…renta lang. wala namang bidding tapos sasabihin good as
sold? Ano ‘to palakasan na lang ng dibdib to, P2 billion?”
For those who missed it, among
others, as many as 150 of the supposedly unused VCMs already contained data
when inspected. But what makes it MORE SUSPICIOUS, people, is despite the lack
of legal basis and the data in the supposedly UNUSED VCMs, revealed that Comelec
Chairman Andres Bautista has approved the request of Smartmatic officials for a
closed-door meeting with all the Comelec commissioners.
Unless he’s trying to hide
something, Bautista had better start talking about that closed-door meeting…did
it take place? If yes, what was the result? If no, why? More importantly, WHAT
IS HIS LEGAL BASIS in even considering a closed-door meeting with Smartmatic,
despite the LOADED BUT SUPPOSEDLY UNUSED VCMs?
BANTAYAN NATIN ITO, mga
kababayan. Bukod sa PERA NATIN ang P2 bilyon, KATOTOHANAN sa resulta ng Eleksiyon
ang nasa likod ng mga VCM. DOBLE HOLDAP TAYO kung sakali, PERA AT BOTO.30
