SERENO MUST BE PANICKING!

Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno must be panicking over her possible impeachment by the House of Representatives.

In a story in gmanews.tv (http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/news/nation/633832/chief-justice-sereno-warns-of-threat-to-democracy/story/?top_picks&order=1), Sereno warned that an attempt to impeach her could threaten the country's democracy.  In what way?

First:  As Chief Justice, Sereno knows very well that she alone DOES NOT SYMBOLIZE OR REPRESENT DEMOCRACY. Nor did any of her predecessors. Second: The late former Chief Justice Rene Corona was impeached but democracy WAS NEVER THREATENED, AND CONTINUES to this day. If I remember correctly, some groups then even claimed that Corona’s impeachment was proof that democracy was very much alive. Third, impeachment of the Chief Justice is provided for in NOTHING LESS THAN THE CONSTITUTION. Is Sereno saying now that adhering to, or following, the Constitution is a threat to democracy?

Sereno was also quoted in the story as saying that: "Is the judiciary safe? And if the judiciary is not safe, is democracy safe? 

If ever, it will only be Sereno who will be on trial in case she gets impeached. Not the entire Supreme Court, and definitely not the entire Judiciary. So for Sereno to point that is a sign of either ARROGANCE OR PANIC! Your choice, boys and girls!

Somebody had better tell Sereno that at this point, self-serving press releases will NOTBOOST HER CREDIBILITY, OR PUBLIC TRUST RATINGS. 30
