SERENO, CAGUIOA SHOULD INHIBIT FROM BBM PROTEST!
A personal friend of mine informed me that he recently came across a press release of an organization calling for the inhibition of Supreme Court (SC) Associate Justice Presbiterio Velasco from the protest filed by Bongbong Marcos against Leni Robredo. The reason: One of Velasco’s kids has allegedly been boasting of their family’s closeness to the Marcos and to President Duterte. I immediately countered that if there’s any SC justice (s) who should inhibit, it’s none other than Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno and Associate Justice Alfredo Caguioa.
BOTH Sereno and Caguioa were APPOINTED to the SC by former President Noynoy Aquino, whom the public knows hates the Marcos all the way to Hell. Therefore, MAY UTANG NA LOOB SILA KAY PNOY. Anybody correct me if I’m wrong but Velasco was NOT named to the SC by Bongbong’s dad, former President Ferdinand Marcos. So Velasco doesn’t have to be thankful for to Bongbong or the Marcoses.
Sereno is the BIG BOSS at the SC. She has the final approval on the court’s operations EXCEPT IN DECIDING ON CASES and petitions, which is voted on by the whole court. Caguioa is the designated lead justice for Bongbong’s protest. And despite the submission of all the evidence and other requirements by both Bongbong and Leni, there is still no schedule for the start of the hearings of the protest.
Velasco is just one of the associate justices. Only an IDIOT would want him out of the Bongbong protest if truth and justice are what really must prevail. 30
