COMELEC'S BAUTISTA HAS MORE TO EXPLAIN!
Now that criminal charges have been
recommended by the National Privacy Commission
(NPC) against him for the theft of as many as 55 MILLION personal
records from the Comelec website, Comelec Chairman Andres Bautista must be
DIRECTED to explain more SUSPICIOUS issues in the poll body. He should also GO
ON LEAVE, IMMEDIATELY, to prevent him from INFLUENCING UPCOMING INVESTIGATIONS.
That is, assuming, he still has ‘delicadeza’ in him.
A story in gmanews.tv said according to the NPC,
Bautista had violated Sections 11, 20, 21
and 22 in relation to Section 26 of the Data Privacy Act of 2013 following the
theft. The NPC, or any other authorized agency, had better require Bautista as
well to explain the following, among others, AT ONCE:
The Comelec’s CONTINUED REFUSAL to a
technical examination by PRIVATE SECTOR EXPERTS of the UNAUTHORIZED INTRUSIOIN
INTO, AND CHANGE made by Smartmatic personnel on, the script of the
transparency server while votes were being counted on the night of the 2016
elections; the NON-IMPOSITION of
penalties on Smartmatic for the unauthorized intrusion, the ESCAPE of a
Smartmatic expert who had been included in the then-pending charges over the
intrusion, the admission by Smartmatic to the use of SECRET SERVERS WHICH EVEN
THE COMELEC NEVER KNEW, the presence of results in vote counting machines (VCM)
which the Comelec had earlier claimed as UNUSED and his willingness to a CLOSED-DOOR
meeting with Smartmatic on the P2-billion being demanded by the company as
revealed by the lone female Comelec commissioner.
Since Bautista will now be held accountable
for the theft of the 55 million personal records, he should be held accountable
for EVERYTHING QUESTIONABLE that has been happening in the Comelec since the
2016 elections. If he has not done anything illegal, there should be NO PROBLEM
for Bautista to start an unscheduled, INDEFINITE VACATION at once. The Comelec
commissioner can surely keep the poll body running EVEN WITHOUT HIM. If
Bautista won’t vacate his post despite the all these, the ACCURACY AND INTEGRITY
of the vice-presidential race is TOTALLY UNRELIABLE more than ever.30
