With the pre-trial of Bongbong Marcos’
protest against Leni Robredo set to begin tomorrow, Comelec MUST NOT REMAIN
UNTOUCHED. For NOT ACTING on most, if NOT ALL, of the signs of cheating during
last year’s vice-presidential polls.
They must be penalized to the fullest extent
under the law, and REQUIRED more than ever to PRESENT PHYSICAL PROOF that
pieces of evidence of possible CHEATING IN THEIR CUSTODY have not been tampered
with to favor Leni in the protest.
The signs of cheating include the UNAUTHORIZED
ALTERATION by Smartmatic on the script of the transparency server, which the
Comelec CONTINUES TO HIDE from examination by private sector experts; LOADED SD
CARDS which the Comelec had first declared as UNUSED, and the CONTENTS of which
REMAIN HIDDEN from the public; admission by Smartmatic that they had used other
servers which the Comelec DID NOT EVEN KNOW ABOUT, and the poll body’s INACTION
on it; collapse of the ceiling of the Comelec warehouse on election
paraphernalia covered by Bongbong’s protest, and absence of any news on what
data was damaged or what action, if any, did the Comelec take.
Comelec is the PRINCIPAL government agency
responsible for ORDERLY polls. All of these ‘MYSTERIES’ happened under their
watch, and they did nothing about it. Anybody correct me if I’m wrong.
It will be TOTALLY AND GROSSLY UNFAIR, NOT
ONLY TO BONGBONG but to the 14 million plus who voted for him, if Comelec will
REMAIN UNTOUCHED! If Comelec will get
away with this, time to change its name to COMMISSION ON LENI’S ELECTION. 30
The COMELEC must be made answerable for all these mess! They betrayed the people's trust and acted irresponsibly when personal information of voters had been leaked.Ifthe Comelec remain untouchable then we will never have a clean election,we will continue to have undesirable people in the government and the syndicate continue their business as usual.Heads must roll from the Comelec or we are doomed!
