Even if government officials have described
the Batangas earthquakes as normal and a mere earthquake swarm, one vital
question must be answered in detail IMMEDIATELY.
Are the Batangas tremors a prelude or the
first step to the dreaded ‘Big One’ killer quake which, as we all know by now,
can strike anytime? Or is there a possibility that they are?
I thought of this question because I came
across a news story (just forgot to save it) were felt at Intensity 3 in
Malabon City. Batangas is in Southern Luzon. Malabon is in Northern Metro
Manila. For those who don’t know, the distance between Batangas and Malabon is
approximately 115 KILOMETERS. So how scientifically natural is it for a supposedly
normal earthquake to travel that far?
And remember, people, the earthquake in
Mabini town in Batangas was Intensity 7. The projected force of the ‘Big One’
when it comes is Intensity 7 or higher, with a path of destruction running
through hundreds of kilometers too. .
Concerned government agencies and officials
had better give a much more DETAILED EXPLANATION fast. We, the people, have all
the right to know the complete picture, immediately. 30
