LIES AND TRUTHS IN LASCANAS

Before anyone GETS FOOLED by the RAGING FLOOD OF PRESS RELEASES on the NEW CLAIM by retired Davao City policeman Arturo Lascanas on the SUPPOSED EXISTENCE of the Davao Death Squad (DDS) and the alleged role of President Digong Duterte in it, LET’S BE VERY, VERY CLEAR on the LIES AND TRUTHS behind the stories to date:

LIE: It was NOT A MAJORITY of the Senate which voted in favor of a probe of Lascanas’ story as claimed by Leila de Lima in a story in inquirer.net. ONLY 10, ALL ALLIES OF NOYNOY AQUINO, out of the 22 senators agreed to a probe. And the majority of 22 is 12, NOT 10.

TRUTH: Lascanas is a LIAR! In a SWORN STATEMENT before the Senate last year, Lascanas said there was no DDS, Now, he’s saying there was indeed a DDS, with Duterte as their boss. TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT STATEMENTS CANNOT BE BOTH TRUE!

LIE: De Lima says Malacanang is in panic mode following Lascana’s claims. But she CANNOT GIVE SPECIFC DETAILS to prove this. As usual, the only proof she has are her WORDS. And she’s NOT GOD whose word alone is Gospel truth.

TRUTH: For some Liberal Parry senators LIES even WITHOUT physical proof, ARE NOW GOOD ENOUGH for a Senate investigation. Especially if the issue can be damaging to President Digong Duterte.

LIE: In a gmanews.tv story, De Lima and Antonio Trillanes said some senators were summoned to Malacañang Tuesday night following the Senate vote approving a probe on Lascanas allegations. But when asked to name names, De Lima said: "Hindi ko alam kung sino-sino talaga. Hindi ko kasi na-confirm so baka magkamali ako kaya I don’t want to say who are they." Trillanes said: You’ll have to ask the senators who attended that meeting, kung ano pinag-usapan nila.” They SPECIFICALLY ALLEGE a meeting, but ADMIT THEY DON’T KNOW WHO WERE IN IT AND WHAT WAS TAKEN UP. Anyway I look at it, only an IDIOT will still take this as truth.

TRUTH: Like the liar Edgar Matobato before him, Lascanas did not have ANY PROOF of any of his tales regarding the supposed DDS and the criminal acts he allegedly did for it, on orders of Digong. His only proof is his words.
