IF LENI DIDN’T REALLY CHEAT…

With the SUSPICIOUS CEILING COLLAPSE of the Smartmatic warehouse in Laguna on servers covered by the protest of Bongbong Marcos versus Len Robredo, here are two simple tests for her to prove that she didn’t cheat and has nothing to fear or hide.

First: Like Bongbong, Leni should file a petition for an IMMEDIATE preliminary conference as the first step for the trial of the protest.  As Bongbong had pointed out, Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) rules provide that a preliminary conference should be called after the filing of the last petition on a case. The last petition was filed on Sept. 9 last year, more than four months ago. A TRULY INNOCENT person would readily grab each and every opportunity to prove that he or she had not done the alleged offense in question.

Second: Leni should join Bongbong in asking the Comelec to show the unauthorized change made by Smartmatic on the script of the transparency server on the night of election day, when Bongbong was leading Leni by some ONE MILLION VOTES. Remember, people, to this day the Comelec is still ignoring Bongbong’s request for an examination of the change by private sector experts.

If Leni really won clean as she insists, there’s no moral reason for her not to support efforts for the start and immediate conclusion of the trial. If she would rather just sit back and let Bongbong’s protest hang in the air indefinitely, she had better come out with solid proof that she still  merits our trust and respect. 30
