LENI'S PANICKY, STUPID APPEAL VS BONGBONG PROTEST!
As expected, Leni Robredo has filed a PANICKY,
STUPID appeal against the resolution of the Presidential Electoral Tribunal
(PET) to proceed with the electoral protest against her by Bongbong Marcos. Here are the key points of Leni’s appeal and
my comments:
Leni’s lawyer, Romulo
Macalintal, said Bongbong did not point to specific poll irregularities which
had taken place in 662 municipalities and component cities, and that affidavits
submitted covered only 57 municipalities and component cities.
My take: Whether or not it’s only 57 or 662 AFFIDAVITS
ON POLL FRAUD WERE MADE AND SUBMITTED along with supporting evidence. Unless
Macalintal can show a law which sets a minimum number of affidavits before a
protest or complaint can be probed or tried, what he should explain next is
from what planet is he. Besides, an affidavit isn’t always a requirement before
an issue can be investigated. Incriminating
evidence alone is enough. For example if a stolen item is found in your
possession, police can immediately probe you even without an affidavit from
anyone accusing you of being the robber.
Macalintal said the resolution allowing
Bongbong’s protest to proceed did not reflect the validity of Marcos' claims of
fraud.
My take: Macalintal is INSULTING THE WISDOM of the PET.
In its resolution, the PET said the protest was sufficient in form and
substance, with narrations of "ultimate facts" on the alleged
irregularities in the contested clustered precincts. Had the PET not
found any valid ground in Bongbong’s protest which merit its precious time for
a trial, the PET would have readily dismissed the case.
Macalintal said Bongbong
has failed to pinpoint irregularities in the conduct of elections in several
areas and clustered precincts.
My take: Among the SPECIFIC anomalies Bongbong
noted in his protest are pre-loaded secure digital cards, misreading of
ballots, malfunctioning vote counting machines and an "abnormally
high" unaccounted votes/under votes for vice president. Even if I don’t have a copy, I’d bet a year’s
pay against a month that specifics of those irregularities were cited in
Bongbong’s protest.
A top-caliber lawyer for the last 30 years
summed up Macalintal’s arguments: Romy Mac will only further fuel public
opinion that Leni Robredo is a COMELECTED vice-president. 30
Macalintal only shows how bright he is when it comes to defending cheaters in election protests. Remember that once our truly elected FPJ lose because of him. He is equipped with his powerful argumentation that if not by technicality,whatever, he will utilize the weapon of mass destruction, which is the delaying tactics. Now that he is at the side of Leni, and because Bong Bong has much to prove he won, he will delay the process by some motion whatever, pending the time Duterte ousted. Meanwhile, the yellow party is on their way igniting something to create a fake people power such as those at EDSA 1.
