BONGBONG MARCOS PROTEST DELAY DELIBERATE!
It’s getting clearer as time passes that the
delay in the start of Bongbong Marcos’ protest is deliberate.
I will not speculate on who or what is behind
it but consider these, people: Even though they have finally decided to proceed
with it the Supreme Court (SC), acting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal
(PET), has not yet announced a date for the preliminary conference for Bongbong’s
protest. This despite under the PET rules itself that the conference must be
set immediately after the last pleading for the protest is filed, which was
done last Sept. 9 or more than FIVE MONTHS AGO.
Making it worse is Leila de
Lima was arrested and jailed JUST DAYS AGO. But the SC HAS ALREADY SCHEDULED oral
arguments for her case on March 10. If the SC CAN ACT THAT FAST on Leila\s
problem, I can’t see any reason why it can’t do the same for Bongbong’s protest,
which is some 8 MONTHS OLD as against Leila’s DAYS-OLD woes.
Especially considering the
fact that all that Bongbong is asking for is a date for the preliminary
conference. Nothing more. And that the SC swiftly acted on various other
matters as reported in media, like the grant of a second writ of protection
against ‘tokhang’ victims in Quezon City.
Most of all, NO REASON for the delay in
Bongbong’s protest has been reported in media. Anybody correct me if I’m wrong.
The PET is not obligated, I’m sure, to always
explain its actions to the people but in the case of Bongbong’s protest we, the
people, deserve some consideration. The SACREDNESS of our votes is in question
and our hard-earned taxes are being spent by Leni Robredo and the Office of the
Vice-President UNDER HER STILL QUESTIONABLE LEGITIMACY for the position.
We DON’T DESERVE to be the BIGGEST LOSERS,
INDEFINITELY. 30
