Simply put STUPIDITY and ARROGANCE led to
Rappler’s demise. Definitely NOT Facebook.
STUPIDITY AND ARROGANCE because Rappler
thought that having experienced correspondents of world famous foreign media
companies as bosses was tantamount to unquestionable credibility. Like Maria
Ressa who’s formerly from CNN and Raissa Robles of South China Morning Post (Hope
I got it right). Whether they admit it or not, Rappler’s people thought that us
ordinary Pinoys will be instantly blinded by the credentials of their bosses to
the point of taking every word they write as Gospel-truth. REGARDLESS of whether or not that oftentimes, their
stories are GROSSLY ONE-SIDED and critically lacking in logic and facts.
Intentionally or not, Rappler’s guys ignored
the REALITY that us ordinary Pinoys READ AND THINK BETWEEN THE LINES in
everything they come out with…that we’re SMART ENOUGH to realize which is true or not,
fact or fake, logical or ridiculous and idiotic. They CLEARLY thought that they
are, and have always been on a higher IQ level than us. Too bad, especially for their lowly staffers, we
knew and until now know better.
