Signs of a possible cover-up are emerging on
the Dengvaxia threat. And acting Health Sec. Francisco Duque had better start
clearing up everything before he is accused of allowing, or worst, being part
of it.
In a story in inquirer.net (https://newsinfo.inquirer.net/951600/ex-consultant-to-doh-bares-vaccine-cover-up),
former Department of Health (DOH) consultant Dr. Francis Cruz said he had
warned Duque that a lot of people around him has also worked for former Health Secretary
Janette Garin, who .implemented the P3.5-billion Dengvaxia immunization
program. To date, however, there has been no news on what action had Duque
taken about it. Anybody correct me if I’m wrong.
Cruz also said the Dengvaxia deal did not pass
through the DOH undersecretary for technical services, Dr. Vicente Belisario.
The Dengvaxia vaccines delivered only had a shelf life of 16 months, or one
year and four months. Former Health Sec. Paulyn Ubial under the law, the
vaccine should have a shelf life of at least 18 months. Again, there has been
no justifiable explanation to these to date. Anybody correct me if I’m wrong.
Documents of the transaction, especially the
terms and conditions, have not been made public up to now. DOH personnel who had
a role in the processing of the deal have remained unidentified. Not one has
been reported as even having been questioned or asked to explain anything.
Several deaths of kids who had had Dengvaxia
have been reported and blamed on the vaccine. But there’s no round-the-clock
reporting in national media of any action probe being done by any government
agency. All these for the P3.5 BILLION OF THE PEOPLE’S MONEY paid for Dengvaxia
These are just the key issues. There’s more. And for the rest of the 830,000 kids who had
been innoculated with Dengvaxia, there’s NO 100 percent assurance that nothing else
would happen to them. Keep that in mind,
folks.30
