The Presidential Electoral Tribunal (P.E.T.)
owes Bongbong Marcos and the people an explanation: WHY is not dismissing Leni
Robredo’s counter-protest against Bongbong up to now?
Leni HAS NOT YET PAID the balance of her
counter-protest fee. It’s been two months or so since the initial deadline. There
has been NO NEWS that a SECOND AND FINAL DEADLINE has been given to Leni. But
when Leni’s camp was yelling in national media that Bongbong’s protest against
her should be dismissed immediately if he fails to pay his fee on time, the
P.E.T NEVER SAID A WORD.
So WHY THE UNLIMITED deadline for Leni? What
are the grounds? I am not a lawyer but I will dare say that there’s no law
which gives her UNLIMITED PRIVILGES OR RELATED EXEMPTIONS, as presumptuous
vice-president, in legal actions against her. Especially considering that
Bongbong’s protest is not criminal in nature. Anybody correct me if I’m wrong
and I will gladly correct myself.
I wrote this for two reasons. First is in the
interest of fairness. Second, as long as Leni’s counter-protest is pending DESPITE
NON-PAYMENT of the balance, it can DELAY THE FINAL RULING on Bongbong’s protest
since she can readily claim that it has to be resolved first. So OUR HARD-EARNED
TAXES will continue to be spent on Leni\s salaries, allowances/benefits and
everything she does at the Office of the Vice-Presiident/ Despite the
HIGHLY-QUESTIONABLE LEGALITY of her victory over Bongbong.

THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTORAL TRIBUNAL (PET) MUST EXPLAIN TO THE PEOPLE WHAT IS THE LEGAL BASIS IN GIVING UNLIMITED DEADLINE TO LENIE IN THE PAYMENT OF HER ELECTORAL COUNTER-PROTECT FEE!! IS SHE A SACRED COW? SHE IS SPENDING MILLIONS OF PEOPLE'S TAXES FOR HER SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES, WHILE HER QUESTIONABLE VICTORY IS VIGOROUSLY PROTESTED BY SEN BONGBONG MARCOS?
