Fifty-eight
civilians, soldiers and policemen dead and counting after six days and PNoy
still HAD THE STOMACH TO INSULT, or should I say MOCK, evacuees from the Zamboanga City war between government forces and
Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) fighters.
While
Interior and Local Government Sec. Mar Roxas DESPERATELY tries to LOOK CUTE in
the eyes of the evacuees, by TAKING ON THE ROLE of another person to MAINTAIN
MEDIA PRESENCE.
A
story in inquirer.net quoted PNoy as telling evacuees at the Joaquin F.
Enriquez Sports Complex earlier today: “Do not worry. We have your back.”
Read
the story and you will NOT FIND ANY SPECIFIC BASIS for PNoy’s reassuring vow.
As in NOTHING. There’s NO MENTION either of when, even tentatively, will the
violence end. Or if there’s enough food and other basic needs should the
trouble drag on
But
PNoy still had THE NERVE to ask the evacuees not to worry.
Kahit
na WALA PANG MAIPAKITANG SOLUSYON man lang sa labanan ang gobyerno niya
hanggang ngayon. At NAGUGUTOM na at maaaring MAMATAY sa ligaw na bala ang mga
evacuees anumang oras.
And to reinforce his INSULTING words of comfort, PNoy
added: “We have certain things we expect of one another so that we can help
each other more efficiently. Is that possible? Can we count on you?”
NANGANGANIB na nga ang mga buhay at gutom na, kailangan pang
tumulong ng mga evacuees para matulungan sila ng PNoy government.
Take your pick: Relief distribution systems of PNoy’s government
ARE DESPICABLY ANTIQUATED or officials are INDISPUTABLE PUBLICITY HOUNDS who
are TOTALLY INCOMPETENT that they can’t do the job alone.
Publicity hounds like Roxas.
As you have probably noticed, boys and girls, Roxas has been the
one presiding over media briefings or press conferences since the fighting
started.
Even though PROFESSIONALLY SPEAKING, it should be Defense Sec.
Voltaire Gazmin or the Armed Forces chief of staff who should do so, since the
battle is PRIMARILY being fought by soldiers, not policemen.
And the soldiers are UNDER GAZMIN, NOT ROXAS.
It’s the POLICE which is under Roxas. Policemen have joined the
combat, yes, but they’re the AUGMENTATION FORCE, NOT THE MAIN COMBATANTS.
Roxas has NO BUSINESS updating the public on the progress of the
offensive against the MNLF rebels. And since he surely won’t admit to being
UNETHICAL or IGNORANT of his turf, his only logical and possible reason is
MEDIA MILEAGE.
Kumontra na ang kokontra. 30
