START RELEASING RECOUNT UPDATES, FOR THE TRUTH!

The Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) has fined both the camps of Bongbong Marcos and Leni Robredo P50,000 each for violating the ‘gag’ order it had issued months ago. The story is in the major news websites.

My take: WITH ALL DUE RESPECT to the PET, START RELEASING DAILY UPDATES on what’s going on in the recount of votes covered by Bongbong’s  protest against Leni for the TRUTH and for TOTAL TRANSPARENCY.  Related to this, the Tribunal had better direct protest lead justice Alfredo Benjamin Caguioa and the people managing the recount to EXPLAIN A.S.A.P why the NEWS BLACKOUT on the recount must continue.

As I had written weeks ago in another blog, there is NO NATIONAL SECURITY THREAT in informing the people daily on the results and goings-on in the recount. No country will wage war on us. Civil war will definitely not erupt. I’d bet a year’s pay against a month that both Bongbong and Leni supporters ARE NOT STUPID to do that. Most of all, ONLY THE CHEATERS are benefitting from the news blackout.

LATEST RESULTS AND DEVELOPMENTS in the recount are WHAT THE MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE WANT. Not the merits of the protest, since most of us are aware of the sub judice rule. Even the non-lawyers like me.

As I often say, KUNG WALANG KATARANTADUHANG DAPAT ITAGO, WALANG ITATAGO.  The people HAVE ALL THE RIGHT TO BE INFORMED, IMMEDIATELY. 30
