The brother of
Commission on Elections (Comelec) chairman Andres Bautista defended him against
hidden wealth allegations by his wife Patricia in a story in gmanews.tv ((http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/news/nation/621288/bautista-s-brother-denies-ill-gotten-wealth-raps-vs-comelec-chairman/story/) But a close lookjat
the story and one will immediately see that the defense was GROSSLY
INSUFFICIENT
Dr. Martin Bautista, who is now based in
Oklahoma, United States, said Patricia Bautista is aware of the $1.7 million
joint investment he had with Andres. Martin added: "Marami po kaming
kinita sa investments namin... from various investments at alam naman po ni
Tisha ito. Alam niya that I had at least $1.7 million with my brother Andy."
Tisha had estimated Andres’ alleged ill-gotten
wealth at as much as P1 BILLION in cash, properties and investments. If you
convert P1 billion into US dollars as P50 to $1, that would be $20 MILLION. And Martin DID NOT ITEMIZE the supposed
investments of their family. He said they will but until they do, only an IDIOT
will be satisfied with his explanation.
Patricia, in her affidavit, claimed Andres’deposits
alone with Luzon Development Bank total P329,220,962. Martin said he had a
joint account with Andres but he DID NOT GIVE DETAILS.
Anything more realistic Andres, Martin? 30
